We are so grateful to Dr. Eric Haas for saving my husband's life! My husband had a diseased colon from diverticulitis (no symptoms, no pain - just found it out through a routine colonoscopy). Once surgery began, Dr, Haas found out my husband was 80 - 90% blocked and his intestines were about to burst causing an almost emergency situation. Dr. Haas and his staff thought it was going to be a 2 hour surgery and ended up being 4-1/2 hours! The disease encased his left ureter tube. Dr. Haas was able to keep my husband from having an ileostomy bag for the rest of his life. We love Dr. Haas and his staff. They kept us informed and they all did an excellent job!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Haas, his team and HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. I appreciated that Dr. Haas was straightforward with me regarding the surgery itself, how the day of surgery would progress, and that he relies heavily on his team. They were wonderful. Dr. Haas’ Nurse Practitioners did a wonderful job of answering any questions before and after my surgery. Surgery on Tuesday, went home Thursday and completely off pain meds by Saturday. The nurses that took care of me and the doctors who came by and spoke with me were awesome. I’m so thankful for Dr. Haas and his team at Houston Colon.
