They first hooked me with a promotional price, then when I added 4 boxes on pickup day, price magically doubled. They promised up to 6 months free storage, only to find out only first 30 days where included. Worst of the worst, a grill, a paddle board and my electric bike “magically disappeared” and never made it to delivery. These guys are scammers and should not be in business. Never hire them

Awful! These guys were contacted though colonial van lines. The guys that came to pick up my stuff were okay (compared to the drop off). One spoke zero english but the other was nice at least. Definitely didn't offer the other insurance options, which apparently they're supposed to do. Also didn't have copies of the paperwork for me so I had to take pics with my phone?? Delivery was AWFUL. Guy was not nice or helpful at all. Refused to go over any of the paperwork with me saying i had 7 days to make a claim and and now I'm being told because I didn't write anything on the paperwork they're refusing to cover most items that were damaged. They folded my king mattress in half, multiple missing boxes, damage to multiple items. Add to this that after I responded to an email review request from colonial both the driver and the owner called me to berate me for giving them a bad review. Do not use these guys....or colonial considering they Hired them.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ernest Moving charged me 4 times the amount I was quoted by First National Moving ( I would never use them again either, they took over $2000 from me and hired Ernest). Do not use Ernest Moving & Storage if you want your furniture intact when it’s delivered. They stored my furniture in a rat infested warehouse, broke multiple antique valuables. There are multiple missing items, such as a door on an antique rococo, shelves in a curio cabinet, and base for a candelabra set. They completely damaged a $20,000 antique bar, broke the marble into 5 pieces, and multiple scratches and dents from their poor handling of my furniture. They destroyed another antique cabinet, another marble top, and an expensive cast iron table. There is so much more …. I was forced to sign a 60 cent agreement or they wouldn’t take anything (knowing I had a deadline to move the next day). They were not careful at all with my furniture. I was quoted $5700 and we went over every single thing, they made me give them $11,620 in cash before they would load anything in their truck and another $11,620 before they would take one item out. I basically paid these two companies over $24,000 to damage all my valuables.

This experience was terrible. I had a move, and was never informed that they’d be using a 3rd party (Ernest moving and storage) the pick up was fine, but the the delivery was terrible. They came later in the day to drop my things off and put them together. The guy that came didn’t even want to complete the task. He tried to walk out my door without putting our beds together, lied and said that he did not have the tools to complete the task, and didn’t even remove the moving blankets off of other items. He had to get threatened by being reported to a hire up and from there he pulled out the tools needed which was on a screw driver and put my bed together. He then stated that there were bolts missing to my son’s bed set therefore he’d be unable to put his bed set together. My son’s bed set is still not together, I also had to assist him with piecing things together after I’ve paid thousands of dollars. I called Menards to complain, they did nothing but continuously cut me off as I was speaking. Did get back to me and stated they’d issue me $100 refund. But what is that after I’ve paid thousands and my sons bed room set is still not together??? Also my bed set later discovered was never put tighter he laid the bars on the bottom of my bed but never screwed it in i could’ve been seriously hurt Waste of money honestly. Had I known they were sending Ernest moving and storage I would’ve never booked.

I will say I did not hire this company, I used a broker. However, I did call the broker and tell them my entire experience and warned them not to use this company. Yes the movers showed up on time. And at first we’re very friendly. They showed up with a 26ft truck. Came in the house and immediately said my quote/estimate was too low. I expected that, however, I did not expect to be charged $8,000 more than the original quote. At this point I had no other option because we had to be on the road that evening. Our household was moving from Rhode Island to Florida. The two movers that showed up did work continuously, however, very carelessly packed the breakable stuff. Relics and collectibles were just thrown in boxes (see Beatles stage picture) so when I opened them I found them in pieces. By the end of the packing, I was informed that not everything would fit in the truck and that they could not get the washer and dryer (the two major things we wanted) up the stairs. When I told them that they were brought down by a single guy and should be able to get up just fine, they then said “no more room on the truck”. They packed the truck horribly. Instead of stacking things, by the middle of the truck they were just putting it on the floor of the truck. This resulted in about 10 boxes, 3 trunks, washer and dryer not making it on the truck. We paid for the full pack up, and they skipped 3 closets. I ended up having to fly back 3 days later to pack the rest of the stuff in a uhaul pickup (that’s how little amount of stuff it was) and put it in storage until I can bring it down to Florida. Now, onto the unpack. The three men that unpacked the 18 wheeler (that had 6 households of stuff on it, so tell me how my household fit in a tiny spot on that truck but not the 26ft truck) they were very friendly and professional. Careful about the walls, the corners and the furniture. As they were unpacking the truck I found my 250 year old antique table missing a leg that was snapped off. I found my chair leg snapped off. As I unpacked boxes, I found lampshades crushed inside boxes. I found 3 boxes that had nothing but ONE item in them. One box (pictured) I opened and found ONE freaking HDMI cord and it was a large box. I was furious. Found another box with just a single throw pillow. So I got charged more than $14k for them to say they couldn’t move all my stuff and then I find empty boxes. TLDR: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND TERRIBLE MOVERS.
