The relationship started off healthy. We had a large move to make emptying the contents of multiple homes and downsizing. It was also complicated as the contents had to be separated between two homes in two states. We started with small problems, things being mis-packed and mis-delivered. The cost of this process was well into the six figures. Findlay then tried to sell us a separate, expensive insurance policy to cover their liability of damage or loss. We took this as a money grab and checked with our home owners policy insurance agent who assured us we were covered, with normal deductables. In the process of moving into our home, the mover at Findlay dropped a wood and resin conference table, damaging the resin surface. This was negligence on the side of Findlay moving company in our eyes, certainly not something worth filing under your homeowners insurance policy. In discussion with the owner, Greg, he was very belligerent and unprofessional. While he admitted fault on his staffs part, he claimed not to have any business insurance whatsoever and rested upon the fact that we did not buy external insurance for his own companies negligence. Eventually, he had offered a small settlement which was later withdrawn. If you want a headache, free moving company, this is not the one to use. They are solely interested in profits.

So we mistakenly shipped out our IDs and passport and travel documents together with all our stuff. We called Stephen @ 7:40 am the next morning and he was so kind and responsive. Findlay staff was so kind and they unpacked several boxes that were ready to ship in the container. We were able to retrieve our documents! We are thankful for their kindness and cooperation.

Findlay did an excellent job with my move in Westchester. They were on time and professional. They even completed the move quicker than I expected. I especially liked how people from the company kept checking in to ensure that everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend them.
