We used Florida Movers R Us for a move 2 years ago and were blown away. They were really fantastic and we recommended them to friends happily. Two years later when we went to move again, we decided to use them again (and requested John to lead the team because he was so great last time). We did not get John, and we did not get nearly as good of an experience as last time. I will say that nothing was broken (though we are missing one box of kitchen items...no idea where that is) and all three of the movers were very nice and friendly, but the owner is a real jerk. They were admittedly slower than I would have expected, so our move took a lot longer than we thought it would (and was therefore a lot more expensive than I thought). They were leaving our old apartment at the same time as me, and I gave them detailed instructions on how to avoid a road closure around our new house. Fast forward an hour...I was at our new house (about a 20-25 minute drive from the old apartment) for 45 minutes before they arrived. They called their boss (the owner) when my husband called to ask where they were and the owner called my husband SCREAMING at him. What a horrible way to treat customers, especially when we treated them with nothing but kindness, respect, and appreciation for their hard work. They also claim to accept credit cards but then charge a 3% fee and don't accept personal checks (they don't tell you until they show up, so that's not very helpful because who has time to go get hundreds of dollars in cash in the middle of a move). Worst of all, our friends decided to use them after we did and they had a confirmed move time and the movers never showed up, never called, didn't answer the phones, and our friends never heard from them again. I am so embarrassed because I gave them the contact info for Florida Movers R Us. This company has gone significantly downhill and I would NOT recommend them. Unfortunate for them because we have 5 friends moving in the coming months, and all were eager to use Florida Movers R Us if we had a good experience like last time. Nope, never again.

If I could give this company zero stars I would as that's what you could get if you try to hire this company. I was closing on two houses in one day, hours apart. I called this company 2 weeks in advance and was assured they would be there with 3 men and a truck between 9am and 9:30am. I have a 250 gallon fish tank that also had to be moved that day. The owner assured me this was no problem as he has a 210 gallon tank also and was very familiar with moving a tank of that size. I again spoke to the owner on the Friday preceeding my move and was told that we were scheduled with no problems. As I am sure you can imagine, I was completely surprised when the morning of my move came and they NEVER SHOWED UP! I called multiple times and all my calls went unanswered . I have never heard back from this company with any explanation as to why they never showed up and never called to even give me a heads up that no one was coming. They still will not return my calls. Luckily I was able to get in touch with another moving company who showed up at noon. Unfortunately, I lost thousands of dollars worth of corals due to the delay in the tank being delivered to the new location and I have Fl Movers R Us to thank for that. If you need a moving company that is reliable...AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

This company's movers damaged 5 pieces of our furniture, one of them completely unusable, and one picture with broken glass. When I contacted the owner he was belligerent from the start and said that his employees told him that the furniture was damaged when they picked it up, which of course was untrue. He actually had the audacity to tell me that this was the best moving company I would find. What a joke! I used Small Moves Inc 3 times before with great results. We used these guys because they have a storage facility which we weren't able to use as it was full when we moved. I recommend finding another mover. This company gave us a $15 credit for the picture and nothing else. We are left replacing one piece and repairing 4 others. I hope that my loss is your gain. Please shop movers elsewhere! Honesty starts at the top and the owner does not instill those virtues in his employees but rather condones sloppy work and the subsequent lies to cover for them.

This moving company has two times moved me and both times where the best ever. Customer service is what it should be which you don't get that anymore these days so its nice when you do. The movers are awesome they put felt pads on my furniture for me they wrapped everything in pads in my house before putting it on the truck. Their equipment is clean and they were on time. THANK YOU SO MUCH FL MOVERS R US LOOK FORWARD TO USING YOUR CLEANING SERVICE!!!

I can't thank you enough for doing such a great job in helping us move! If you need help packing your truck to move, this is the company to call. We were exhausted just from packing and were so thankful for the help. They arrived on time and even finished early. They were very friendly and professional in appearance and attitude. Highly recommend!
