They should change their name to 'We throw your "stuff" in boxes.' They moved our house and improperly packed almost everything, missed timelines and messed up on weights. Whatever you do, pick another moving company--even if you have to pay twice or three times the cost. It'll be cheaper in the long run...

I contracted with Trans Union Van Lines under a 3 payment plan then they subcontracted with Florida Van Lines for their 3rd party movers. The driver arrived 2 days late, demanded a payment of $3074 cash upfront, told me and my brother we had to unload ourselves while he sat back and watched which is a major safety violation against DOT regulations. We told him that we had contract of payment with Trans Union and Trans Union is the responsible party that pays Florida Van Lines. The driver drove off with my furniture and personal belongings. 13 days later now and they refuse to tell us where my furniture and personal belongings are.

If i could not put a star i wouldn't. I had the worst experience with this company. This was our last move since my husband retired out of the ARMY. The movers were nice but not careful with our stuff. At one point one of the movers dropped my end table and didn't bother to say I'm sorry. They also took a little chunk off my bar counter and a hole in my laundry room wall. They also were coming at me with numbers from every corner instead of waiting until i found that number. Once they got everything off the truck ( missing 3 to 4 boxes) they told me they would come back for the boxes once i was done unpacking. NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT ME WAVING THE UNPACKING OR US BEING AN HOUR AWAY! EVEN MY FRIEND WAS HERE THAT HEARD THE GUYS SAY THEY WOULD COME BACK FOR THE BOXES. Well my husband called them Tuesday to schedule a pick up time and they said they had to contact the operation manager and they would call my husband back. Well next day comes still no call back so my husband contacted them and they informed my husband since we are an hour away they couldn't come out and also since i waved the unpacking they weren't obligated to come back out to pick up the boxes EVEN THOUGH THEIR EMPLOYEE NOT ONE NOT TWO BUT THREE EMPLOYEES said they would come back out and get the boxes. Im so very glad this was our last move and WONT EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I am apart of a military family. We move a lot. And this is by far the WORST experience my family has ever had. This company wasn't professional, they came a day late, and when the finally did come it was a day later at 4pm on a Sunday. When they were finally done unpacking it was 10pm. One of the movers just gave up and stayed in the truck on his phone, and another mover blamed everything on everyone else. They also brought a box spring that wasn't ours. They left scrapes, scratches, and dents on our walls. They put boxes in the wrong rooms when we told them what rooms the boxes belonged to. They were not careful with our belongings. And we are still missing 40 pieces out of 400. We have no bed frames, our lawn mower is missing, no couch legs, and no bookcases. We have scheduled our second oppoinment with this company to drop off the rest of our belongings for Friday (yesterday) no show. Today is Saturday and its 4pm and still no show when they were supposed to be here at 11am. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!

To say our experience with FL Van Lines was the move from hell is an understatement! We've moved more times in our lives than we can count. NOTHING could come close to the HORRIFIC experience we had with these clowns. We requested a very large empty van and 4 men. We had everything already packed in professional grade boxes so FVL only had boxes and furniture to move. Three guys and one child of about 10 showed up 6 hours late with a truck half full. The driver was the only one with a license. They picked up a hitchhiker on the way to our home on Hilton Head Island SC to help them. The guy had been released from prison that very day!!! The child had teeth. The 3 men didn't have a full set between them. They were shirtless and FILTHY!!! The thought of them touching any of our belongings unnerved us but we had to turn our home over to new owners in 2 days and had no time to arrange for another mover. At midnight the truck was full but we still had 3 rooms of furniture left. My husband rented a UHaul truck early the next morning and found local guys to help us load and drive it to our new home. By the time our belongings from FL Van Lines arrived, one week late, in Sarasota FL we faced many damaged and missing items. I could elaborate on many details but I think this gives a good picture of our experience with this company. RUN, don't walk, from FL Van Lines. Truly a nightmare move!
