The tow workers and managers are shady and have horrible customer service skills! On 04.03.2024 my vehicle broke down. I called for towing service through my insurance but I had to wait about 4 1/2 hours with my car. When a tow truck did show the driver just back in a hooked my car to the truck and began to just pulled off. I flagged the truck down to ask don’t you need my keys? The driver proceeded to jump out his truck yelling and using foul obscene language towards me in front of my daughter. Saying that my car was being towed for being on private property. I explained that the car was broken down and that I had been waiting on a tow. Needless to say the money hungry tow work took my car, so I called the company and spoke with the manager who was even more rude and unprofessional than the driver. And on top of that the manager tried to lie and said I got physical with the driver when it was actually the other way around. My daughter ended up calling the police and they came out on scene to investigate. The officer talked with me and told me that where my car was taken from wasn’t private property and that the tow company was wrong. He called the tow company in front of me and explained to the same manager that my vehicle had no reason to be towed in the first place. The manager was even giving the police a hard time and the cop wasn’t having any of it. Needless to say they had to bring my car back to me and i didn’t have to give them a penny! All this could have been avoided had the company as a whole practiced better customer service skills with people they come in contact with. They were very unprofessional when dealing with me and Ghost Towing & Recovery has some shady business practices to say the least. The only thing that helped me out in the situation besides I wasn’t wrong to begin with was that I remained calm and professional during the whole ordeal dealing with this shady tow company. Wasted time, energy, and effort on the tow company end, thinking they was getting easy money out of another person . When they got no money from me and had to apologize to me which meant nothing because it was only done to save face. And the start of this wasn’t on the tow company it was on the apartment complex Mirela North who made the call to the tow company and told them that the vehicle was on private property when it wasn’t it was on the public road which the apartment had no control over.

It’s ridiculous !! My car has been having issues with the battery so I parked on the same legit spot I always do but back up parked just in case I need some one to give me a jump on my battery again it would be easier, when I woke up next morning my car was gone , and this man are the rudest most unprofessional people I ever had to deal with in the past. The Guy felt asleep while I was on the phone with him !!!!

The towing service operator displayed unprofessional behavior, and their attitudes were unappreciated. Let me also say that since the owner responded that the ID was presented to the driver, my sister asked to go with that driver back to the vehicle since he had her government state ID. The driver had an attitude about her asking to go with him and lied, saying his card reader wasn't working, and tried to upcharge her when we got the original price previously. I am unsure if labeling black women as “difficult” when trying to ask questions when the driver was the difficult one who displayed extreme emotions that were inappropriate. Please understand that attempting to reprimand the vehicle's owner for not liking the questions is simply childish and practically bullying. I would give zero stars if possible, and I hope people consider the reviews because you have a marketable reputation

Honestly shouldn't even have one star more like none at all really. Last October I went to Busch Gardens with my girlfriend to Hallow Scream Halloween event and made a mistake parking across the street from the property. So we had to take an Uber all the way to Clearwater which is a hike, to get the money to get the car back and had my girlfriend to drive me to the place to get my car back just to get refused right away being accused of being drunk when I was NOT!! The driver was very rude and disrespectful and was very threatening and refusing to give me my car back when I took an Uber all the way to Clearwater and came back with the money! Man was I beyond furious as well as my girlfriend also! Even the guy on the phone after we called, was very rude and disrespectful as well making us out to be the bad ones when we weren't! So had to wait for the next morning to try again and this time.... had the Tampa Police come out to make sure that there wasn't gonna be any problems getting my car back. White Lancer... I hope you remember me! And being that same exact driver who was disrespectful and refused to give my car back.... if it wasn't for having the police there, I swear I would have knocked him out right and there being the little weasel, skin head looking punk that he is!! Even though this last October.... I surely wanted to make sure that I put my review in eventually. And I see that by the reviews they have here already.... shows that I wasn't the only one who had problems with these people. A lot of horrible reviews I see... and I wonder why? Avoid these guys at all cost as they are very rude, disrespectful and beyond unprofessional! Fitting name for this company by the ways "Ghost" as that will be a true statement being the fate for this company for being so terrible as they are with customers. I guarantee that someone will end up snapping on these guys for their rudeness and I guarantee that it won't be pretty after. Learn how to treat people right or just shut down period!

I call the boss of this company and explained what happened so i can then get my car back. Guy was rude and took offense to me saying “dang why did this have to happen to me, why were there no spacings” out loud to myself and upped my price from $275 to $320 all i did was ask questions and he just hung up in my face and speeded with the address to pick it up, so i had to call back again. This company is very unprofessional and needs voice recording because what happened was totally uncalled for and abruptly rude and there should be no reason a business is ran that way. People like that give a company a bad name and shouldn’t be allowed. And proceeded to say to someone else i know, “it’s to teach me a lesson” that type of attitude serves no purpose in life and should not be tolerated.
