We used Genes Furniture and Moving this week. The three workers were polite, hard workers. They got two truckloads moved 10 miles in 6 hours. Thank you for the great experience.

We were moving our furniture from our home to storage for a month and then to our new house. We wanted to stay local so we hired Gene's furniture. On moving day out of the house 3 workers and a truck showed up It took 5 plus hours . (including multiple smoke breaks) to move across town to a storage unit. They damaged a few pieces of furniture, tore one box spring, and smashed 1 of 6 decorative light fixture outside, I had to replace all 6 because that style is no longer made. They also damaged some of the beautiful woodwork in the house. Then the workers denied all of it, even though my wife watched them do it. the manager later agreed to take the cost off the bill for the second move. On the day of the move from the storage unit to our new house I got a call from one of the movers 2 hours prior to the agreed upon start time telling me that they did not want to do the job. I called the manager of Gene's and was told that the workers did not want to come, and he was not going to make them. We hired Peak Movers from Wausau. Two men and a truck showed up it took 6 hours including the drive from Wausau to move our furniture 9 miles from storage to our new house. We had no damage. The bill was almost $200 less for the second move. I will never use Gene's Furniture to move again.

Just bought a piece of furniture from here- on the website it states that they offer military discount & free delivery within city limits- so I ask about the military discount and the guy said I can give you free delivery! FREE DELIVERY is a must as it’s advertised FREE so that’s not included w military discounts- we did NOT get a military discount so that’s false advertisement! Overall they are friendly- just don’t advertise something if you can’t hold up to it! :)

The two gentlemen arrived on time. They thoroughly planned out the process to efficiently move and pack our furniture into their truck and then executed that plan. Our one bedroom apartment full of furniture was in the truck in just under an hour. Having been to our new address before, they told is exactly where they planned to park and what door they intended to access to most effectively deliver our furniture. They took great care to wrap our furniture with moving blankets, ropes, etc. In just under two hours, our furniture was in our new place. The men were hard working, polite, pleasant , professional and respectful. When the time comes for us to move in the future, we'll definitely hire Genre's movers again.
