I hired Gentle John’s movers based on good reviews here. I had a terrible experience so thought I’d share. 1) They called the morning of and tried to move our appointment to another day. They were supposed to drop be there at 9 am but didn’t arrive till late afternoon 2) They damaged both our fridge (hard to get good photos of stainless steel) and our metal door frame getting the fridge out. I had to tell them how I do it (take door off hinges) 3) The guys who came were cold and rude (the guys who came to put the stuff back were nicer but damaged the frame AGAIN) 4) Their policy is to pay you based on the weight of the item. As you can imagine, not such a great deal.

The best movers ever! Luis, Elmer, Alexis, Edwardo, Byron, Parker and Brandon moved 5 storage units into a new house, with lots of construction still going on. They condensed remained storage items into one unit, and smiled all they way through. Day one was a 10 hour day, day two was also 10 hours helping to lay out rugs, move furniture around, and take all the boxes away. Both days were 95 degrees. They were careful, considerate, nothing damaged. A true dream team!! I also had to move a few more things back and forth from my house to storage and had the team of Stetson and Julian. These two were hard working, patient, great with my dog and were excellent to work with. Every crew Gentle John’s I’ve worked with has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them!!

IT TOOK 5 HOURS ($1024.35), I was quoted 2 movers for 3 hours (around $500). If I had known it would’ve taken that long to move two bedroom apartment worth of stuff (one adult: 2med boxes of clothes, 2 kids 3med boxes of clothes) I would’ve just told them to take the big furniture and moved the smaller items myself so that it would’ve been cut down to a couple hours. Luckily, I had a friend that was able to lend me a couple hundred dollars otherwise the big heavy items that they had been left on the truck for the last minute would’ve been returned to their storage facility until I was able to pay the remainder balance and then would’ve had to find another way to get those furniture pieces back to my new apartment. I had moved in to my previous apartment on my own (my brother helped with heavy stuff for no more than 30mins) with the same amount of things and finished in under three hours with a U-Haul, but since I recently had knee surgery at the end of October, I wasn’t able to do it myself. This was my first time using a moving company and will be my last. I’d rather just spot my friends a couple hundred dollars to help me move the bigger items.

Bill and Joel were fantastic! I wasn’t sure about hiring a moving company but they handled all my valuables like their own. They were efficient and quick. Everyone at Gentle John’s were friendly. Bill and Joel were both very personable and friendly! Great company to work with too! I will hire Gentle John’s again!

This is our second time using Gentle John’s and we will always use them! This time we had Ray’s crew help us move and they were amazing! They were fast, nice, professional and sweet towards our two little babies. If you want movers that are fast, know what they are doing and simply just the best at what they do, you absolutely want Gentle John’s. They go the extra mile.
