I had 2 teams for my move: 1 was to move things to storage and the other to move things from 1 home to another, locally. I couldn't believe how efficiently they moved my things! Not only that, but very careful and safe. They spoke professionally and were very courteous to me and my family. I prefer slow to a team who rushes to get done and makes mistakes. George Moving employees put safety first in every way, for which I give them 5 stars! No damage to my things or the floors or walls. Thank you!!

George Moving made the physical transition into elder care for my parents and recreated their home in a new space. They did it all with kindness, compassion, and humor when necessary! From start to finish, the George team brought the highest level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and care for items they transported for us. We were overwhelmed, then they calmly stepped in and streamlined the process for us making it a surprisingly easy day. We hired George Moving & Storage for a cross-state move out of Pittsburgh, approximately 8 hour drive away. If I were writing this review based on the pickup, it would be 5 stars. There were 4 efficient movers who quickly were able to disassemble furniture and efficiently pack the truck, taking almost no time at all to move a 3 bedroom house. However, the delivery was suboptimal in many ways. Note for future customers that while they give you a range of when to expect your items, ours took the maximum amount of time promised. When they arrived, they were severely understaffed in terms of movers to help unload the truck (really only 2 movers and functionally 1 efficient mover in terms of the total items moved). I understand the need for the large tractor trailer to efficiently make as many moves across state as much as possible, but our items were less than 1/3 of the truck and the enormous tractor trailer inconvenienced our neighbors for an extended period of time because they ultimately didn't have enough movers to get the truck unloaded quickly. It was not a lot of items to move for a 3 bedroom place, so the fact that I was hustling myself to get the items moved out of the truck so that they could free up space for our neighbors was inconvenient and frustrating, and could have been avoided with more movers. I felt they could have been more forthcoming about how many movers we could have expected at the arrival destination. Also a few of our items were damaged in the move (resulting from fallen boxes and other cosmetic damage). We felt they could've packed things better into the larger truck. Overall, the arrival felt like a much less professional operation relative to the pickup, so the company might be better for an intra-Pittsburgh move as that's where the company is based out of and have more resources.

We had an excellent experience! I asked a million questions, since we had never used a moving company before, and they were prompt and patient in their responses. The moving team, Charles, Drew, Jordan, and "Turtle", were kind, efficient, careful, and professional. I would highly recommend this company!
