I should start this review by saying that I did not utilize this company for any services. I was having breakfast this morning and I wound up meeting Stephen the owner of Hicks moving and storage at a restaurant in Oneonta, NY earlier today. We struck up a conversation about running our businesses. He told me that he was passionate about his moving and storage company because it was his father's legacy and he was carrying it on, and that it made both himself and his Dad proud. Stephen left a few minutes before I did. About ten minutes later I got up to pay my bill and was shocked to find out that it was paid for. The cashier said the gentleman sitting next to me took care of my bill which was around $20. This was just a really nice random act of kindness. Again, I have not used the services of this moving and storage company but I can tell you that the owner is a generous and genuine person. I may or may not a need for this type of service in the future. Just based on this chance encounter, I would recommend his services to anyone that I know. Thank you Stephen, it was a pleasure chatting with you. I'm glad I remembered the name of your business! I will be sure to pay it forward in the near future. I was very touched, people like you make the world a better place.
