Extremely disappointed with Hippo storage! We rented a climate controlled unit and unfortunately there was a fire that occurred in the lighting fixture directly above our unit. I understand that a fire is out of their control, however I would expect the company to contact the tenants and inform them a dry chemical fire extinguisher was discharged above the units and there was potential for the chemical to fall down through the open ceiling of the storage unit. We only found out when we stopped by to pick up a few items. All of the items, all including electronics, were covered in the chemical Ammonium Phosphate. This chemical can also be an irritant to the respiratory system. Hippo storage is on the expensive end of storage in Camden county, I would look elsewhere if I needed another unit.

Top to bottom, as pleasant an experience as we’ve ever had when we’ve moved. Our move date changed several times and they were pleasant and accommodating every single time. The actual packing and moving crew were extremely polite, respectful of our home and possessions and just plain nice. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Well done Jamie, Cris and Ty!

This has been, by far, the best experience I have ever had in storing my belongings during a move. Jamie is the sweetest person and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the business. The delivery of the shipping container exceeded my expectations. The process was so smooth that my camping chair didn’t even fall during the move! Thank you!

Hippo moving did a local move for us and we couldn’t be happier.. 3 young men showed up on time, loaded our furniture and boxes in under 2 hours, got to our new home within half a hour, and unloaded the truck quickly. They were also flexible enough to move our heaviest piece of furniture 3 times. Thanks again!

Very professional. Unfortunately very pricey. We have most of our stuff packed and they’re still quoting $1,400 for basically just kitchen stuff, car park junk and clothes in closets. To move a couch, tv, two beds a desk, dining table, washer/dryer and a hutch I was quoted at $2,600. They were very helpful and got me in the schedule very quick. Unfortunately with prices that high there’s no way I’d be willing to do that. Much rather get a uhaul and do it myself. Or go with an hourly company. Help them myself and pay a quarter of what they were asking for.
