Do not use this company. I was told one price over the phone by the owner of the company. Three guys showed up who had no idea how to move my hot tub. They completely destroyed the outside and frame of my hot tub. Demanded I paid in cash and said “if the owner calls tell him you decided to cancel” the price was double the original quote. I reached out to the owner and explained that I had to do a majority of the moving myself and then even had to use my equipment to move it. And how the price doubled. His response was “I told you I was out of town and those guys were independent contractors who don’t work for me so you need to reach out to them” when I never knew he was sending people who did not work for him. Poor business. Poor responses. Poor quality. I try to support small businesses but will never use this “business” again.

I did not use them but witnessed what they did to our neighborhood and neighbors yard. This was not the first time as they did the same thing two years ago when moving the people into their new home. This truck is too big for our circles and damages included; sidewalk cracking from running up into a neighbors yard, flower garden demolishing in another neighbors yard and marking up the curb in our island area. A neighbor made call to their office and the person on the other end was rude and uncaring about the destruction of their truck driver. You may notice that the truck has a different name on the side but the drivers and crew all had on blue shirts with Hood printed on them. The sidewalk marking shot shows where they busted it last time and the new marks made by the truck. You can also see the truck up in the yard and possibly damaging our irrigation system under their tires We will not know until we fire it up in a couple of weeks. Please avoid using this company. UPDATE and Clarification: Again, I did not use this company. I am an HOA Board Member looking out for our community and residents. Mr. Hood and I have had a civil conversation about the situation. It will be ongoing until we determine if irrigation lines will have to be repaired due to the heavy weight of the semi on the properties.

The employees of Hood Moving are professionals from start to finish. They disassemble and pack everything with care, hustle hard, don't slack off, and they are worth every penny. Honest, trustworthy, and experienced. As a former military brat and Army veteran myself I have moved many, many times. This was one of our more difficult moves of late from a distance and quantity perspective, but they made it bearable. Thank you to Stan and his tireless crew! If we move back to Chattanooga, we know who we will call.

They were amazing to work with from the very start. I even gave them the wrong date and they still made time in the schedule to move me on the correct date with less than 24 hour notice. The guys that moved my belongings were extremely helpful, backed the truck for me, and helped make sure everything was secured for my trip. If I am ever moving in the area again, I will 100% use Hood moving!!
