Now don't get me wrong, they were perfectly fine when I used their services in 2018 when Eld rules changed making them mandatory. It was over the phone set-up sending my equipment via mail. Never once during that phone call did they say "hey by the way your now paying by contract" it was a yearly service basically when u sign up is your yearly renewal.(Mine was January²⁰¹⁸ )Which I faithfully did for the next 5 years. But in Aug of 2024 well into my 8th month of Jan23 renewal California would not renew my diesel registration, therefore I closed down my Business. So fast forward to Jan 2024 Motive sends my new renewal invoice for the physical year of 2024 which I do not pay for new year renewal.... Why ugh because I don't own a trucking company and do Not need the eld services of Motive. So I do not pay or mind that email invoice. Here comes April 18 2024 email from cosmopolitan service corporation a collection agency who wants to collect on this non payment. I go through the steps of emailing, writing letter response and cease and desist and sending certified for signature request. Not only that I wrote the state of California Department of Justice attorney general Rob Bonta. Reference /Piu# 1376035. (I Urge everyone up here to contact him the more complaint the better chances of stopping motive) The attorney general tried contacting them several times but they don't want to take his calls. After I sent all the packet to them didn't not here a peep. Here we are five months later and they send me a email this time with different information about having signed a contract and there fore I have till9-37-2024 to pay the outstanding balance. And with a totally different agent name. I emailed them the previous information. Along with the attorney general information. This is such a sad thing that they are doing this to hard workers. I will not stop.... Please I urge anyone dealing with them contact the attorney general office I did my customer complaint via online through website, they were fast to respond again Please use my reference # Piu#1376035 and let's get enough for a class action law suite hope this helps

Watch out these Scammers. I closed down my trucking company.but I had last payment due and my contact was ending in October.they decided that they want money in July. Which I refused,so they sent my account to debt collectors.why would you double the amount? It was $ 242 and some change.we all need to stand up against them Talk to Attorney General.

I'm writing this review in hopes of someone from the motive team seeing it. It's been 2 weeks I've been without an eld. The one I had was damaged. (My fault) which I explained to the tech team on the phone. I told them I was fine with paying for a replacement. It's now been 2 weeks of them transferring me from department to department each time I call. (Every business day). The docu sign was signed on both ends for the purchase of a new eld. As of now no tracking number has been emailed to me and today may 7, 2024 I was told that they are still working on processing my order and it's with the relevant team. I'm at home truck parked not earning not making any money. When will I receive my new replacement eld..NOT EVEN MOTIVE CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER!!!!

This company set up a payment plan. I after making payments they deactivated my service. I’m sure they are operating unethical and have do this to others. As I’m typing this I’m sending a letter to the corporate office and then hiring an attorney seeking a class action suit.
