I use Fairprice Movers to move my two bedroom townhouse to a one bedroom apartment and storage then to move from San Ramon, California to Tampa, Florida. The savings is that they pick up the furniture and boxes, move everything to a storage facility that is waiting for a long haul truck to come and pick up not only my furniture but other people that are moving in the same direction. I packed everything that I physically could and they packed everything else. Because of the price of cardboard and them being professionals that was the smartest idea, I thought. It took about a month for my goods to arrive and that was also the estimate of arrival. A local moving company came and said it would take four hours to off load but they got it done in just about two hours. They had a bill of inventory that was taken when everything was picked up and that same inventory was there for me to check off as everything was brought into the house. Everything arrived. Nothing got lost or broken. I did listen to their advice about what not to ship, what to take with me and how to pack. I was very happy with the moving experience though it gets stressful waiting for them. The cost was compensatory for the distance that I had to move. They are an honest company, they will tell you the estimate and cost. They are not shady, everything is up front.

All of my stuff showed up to the final location undamaged and the final charges where close or identical to the quotes I got from them. Also because I move for work sometimes my moves are very last minute sometimes within two weeks of moving and they’ve never turned me down or been unavailable. Could be that I happen to get lucky but I definitely had very positive experiences with them.
