Jakes moving and storage team showed up and moved and packed some of my 3 bedroom apartment in just about 2 1/2 hours. Jake was very good with calling to follow up and providing earlier dates should they be available. They came with plenty of boxes, shrink wrap to protect my things, and truck big enough to move it all in one load. My items were being moved into a storage y it and they unloaded the items in a very orderly fashion. I was able to just sit in the car and keep my son busy. Moving is always stressful; but jake and the guys made it easy! I will be calling them back when I’m ready to move again.

We booked Jake's Moving over a month ago as soon as we received the closing date on our new house. Jake went over all the details and said he'd call to confirm everything 7 days prior. We did not receive the promised call and have left 3 messages over the last 4 days, and no one has responded. This morning we were left scrambling to find a new moving company just days before our move, which is not the stress we needed with buying a new house and moving. Would absolutely not recommend.

Let me save you some time and tell you this is the best moving company in the area! I had a negative experience with La Crosse Moving Co so was hesitant to hire movers again but after using Jakes I’ll never use anyone else. Jake is super personable and responsive with fantastic customer service. He supplied us with 5 movers to go from a 2BR to a 3BR so the job was done in 4 hrs flat. When we unexpectedly had to bring carpet to our new house the movers even stopped off to pick it up for us. They showed up on time, were polite, and efficient. I noticed they had good attitudes, concise communicators, and worked so well together as a team. I really don’t know what we would have done without them. Go ahead and hire them -you’ll be impressed!

We were moving my special needs brother to Assisted Living. He had a one-bedroom apt. and moved to a Studio. Jake said his crew would arrive in the afternoon. THEY ARRIVED AT 8:00 A. M. We were not ready and I lived 15 miles away. The "boxes of stuff" to be moved and Good Will were divided, but there was no line on demarcation. My brother was not able to say what was going and what was staying. I could not tell them over the phone. If I was on a Zoom call, I could have told them. BUT that would not have resolved the problem of what was not yet packed. When I got to the Studio apartment, I complained about cost and what was left behind. I was told it would take only 20 minutes to unload because they had a trolley and the Studio was so close to the door. An hour and a smoke break later they finally ended. This whole move is not what I expected. It took 4 car loads to move the rest. I called Jake and spoke to his wife. I was given a run-around about how I wasn't at the apartment when the movers got there and why didn't I ask them to wait. Yea, the clock would have been ticking and ticking all the while I finished packing. They did not even want to hear about the facts that they came 4 hours early AND moved 4 containers of Good Will items. I asked for $100 of the over $500 bill to be returned. I thought this was reasonable, but Jake never even called me back to negotiate. NOT MUCH OF A BUSINESS MAN. BEWARE!

My sister used Jake's to move her today. They were wonderful!! So nice and compassionate. My sister had a bad accident during this move and cut tendons in her foot. She has had little help from her "friends" and was so grateful. They were professionals and kept telling her to rest and put her foot up and let them do what she needed done. Which is very hard for her to do. Would recommend them to anyone. Sweet guys who really care about your situation.
