I called Heather Blake CPA today 2/24/24 after seeing a reference on NxtDoor. The person answering phones was extremely curt, putting it nicely . I asked if they were taking new clients to do taxes, and she said: "Not THIS late in the season." with a definite tone that I should already know that. I then asked if they do consultations if someone has a tax question, and she said: "ONLY for OUR clients." I then asked if they did Trust Accounting and she said: "Yes, call back after May 1". So that was my phone experience. I have always done my own taxes and was looking for someone to do my mother's taxes, so I'm not an expert on tax services, but I was asking politely and in good faith. She could have explained a couple of things to me and offered to take my number for someone to call me later in the year - that would have left a much better impression. I did not expect to get such rude treatment, and definitely won't be calling back after May 1, or any other time.

I can't say enough good things about Heather, Sean and the team at Blake & Associates. I've been working with B&A for many years now and as a small business owner I consider them part of my team. The friendly staff is always there to answer my questions and make recommendations when necessary. They send me friendly reminders so I pay my quarterly taxes on time and they often remember things that I forget that end up saving me money.
