Dr. Weiland is the best doctor I have EVER had. Dealing with the Hoag way of doing things can be frustrating, but once your in with Dr. Weiland you have his utmost attention and access to him. Now that he is Hoag prime, that's not an issue anymore. Dr. Weiland was recommended to me by a dear friend 5+ years ago. I was feeling low energy and overall crummy after having 3 kids in 2 years. Instead of just prescribing an iron supplement (like every other doctor) he decided to get to the bottom of my anemia and low energy. After a series of tests he determined that I probably was Celiac and recommended a great GI, I was diagnosed and it has changed my life. I could go on and on about all the other times Dr. Weiland has been there for my medical issues, but you would eventually stop reading this recommendation. All I have to say is that he is a great physician, with a great bedside manner, and a great wealth of knowledge. I mentioned that the Hoag Group can be frustrating but one good thing is that I like that they seem to work together (meaning all the specialties) for the best interest of the patient.

Dr. Weiland is terrific. He takes time to speak with you and understand any issues you may be having. He asks insightful questions. He is exactly what one wants in a primary care physician. He inspires great confidence, is practical, professional, and kind.

Dr. Weiland has been my doctor since I moved to the area 4+ years ago and he is by far one of the best physicians I've had in 50+ years of living. Never in a rush, always listens to everything you have to say, and is interested in your overall physical and mental well-being. Can't recommend him enough.

I have had Dr Weiland as my primary care physician for 3 years... He has worked with me on my overall health and also helped me to find the right specialist when needed and we always do a follow up after a surgery or a trip to the specialist. Highly recommended for folks looking for the modern version of the Family Doctor... As a DO, he is very open minded about other approaches besides just surgery and pharmaceuticals including suggesting Yoga for back before the surgical option. Turns out yoga worked for my back...

My primary doctor Joseph Weiland is the best doctor I have ever had and I have had many. All my specialists with HOAG are also amazing. I have always received the upmost care with HOAG from ER visits, primary and specialist. I highly recommend HOAG for any medical needs.
