I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews. Dr. Nelson is the best doctor and I have talked to many doctors over the years due to my mother’s healthy issues. He is so caring and takes his time to explain the test results and what can be done to prevent an issue rather than just putting on a bandaid. He orders all the necessary tests in order to get bottom of the issue. I can tell he is very passionate about what he does and truly cares about his patients’ well being. He will advocate for you with the insurance company if they are not willing to approve prescriptions due to high cost. Thank you Dr. Nelson for all of your hard work. We feel blessed for having you as my mother’s cardiologist.

He may be a great doctor. He may be the end all be all. But from the signs plastered all over his office windows to the paranoia about insurance coverage to the onerous packet of papers to sign to the staff who you can't trust to know your upcoming appointments to a doctor who dictates into your chart with you sitting in the office listening with no clue to what's going on to the tests ordered that are not covered by insurance to calls back wanting to know why you cancel an appointment to a call telling me I owe them money when I paid them three weeks ago and they cashed my check. No thank you. If my heart disease doesn't kill me, going to that office will.

Dr Nelson is very thorough and takes his job seriously. His top goal is to do everything he can to prevent you from having heart problems. And give you top notch care. He will run all tests necessary to rule things out and ensure he can clear you with a good bill of health. He answers all questions thoroughly. Conducts most tests right there in his office building including being able to get blood work right next door. He doesn’t wait to read your test results. He reads them immediately and will call you personally before your follow up appointment if he has a concern. My only suggestion is that he also takes a card instead of just a check or cash.

Office staff told my mom she needed to pay 380 cash to be seen today and also charged her 50$ for visits from 2016/2017!! When I called to see why she was being charged 380 to be seen if she has already meet her deductible I was told she wasn't in network-which is false!!! Neither Joann nor Shawna couldn't give me a valid reason for trying to collect the 380- I was not allowed to talk to office manager about this because It wasn't allowed!!! I will file compliants with office and insurance company

Worse experience with a doctor's officer ever. They tried charging me $300 deductible. Even after contacting my insurance and verifying charges they have still continued to try and charge me for things I should only be paying a $25.00 co-pay for. The girls are rude and do not know what they are doing. The doctor is nice but I do not care for the staff. I have to go in for a stress test and if I cancel I'm charged $350 so I have to go. I'm going to have so much anxiety tomorrow I'm not even looking forward to this. 6-16-20 - I had to have my insurance company call these people again today for a $180.00. They are so sneaky and try to get you to pay for all kinds of charges you shouldn't have to so beware. I will never go to this doctor again.
