Dr. Dickerson has been a supportive presence for me over the past 12 years. I have experienced both challenges and improvements related to the revision of my shunt. Dr. Dickerson and his team work diligently to provide the best care possible. Recently, I have faced some difficulties due to a malfunctioning shunt and excessive spinal fluid drainage. However, I am optimistic that these issues will be resolved. Each individual’s body is unique, and it is important to communicate your needs to the doctor, as he listens attentively and strives to help you achieve the best possible outcome. I am confident that together we will find a solution.

Dr Dickerson was a an excellent surgeon and he's been on top of everything that I have suffered from and I feel together we can overcome most of it. Mine has not been a injury that one or two surgeries can fix but I understand that but the excruciating pain I'm in has been removed slowly and my spine and paralysis have been addressed. He's listening to me and my body. God bless him

I hate to agree with the most recent reviews but the office staff and communication to the patient is HORRIBLE. Dr. Dickerson seems like a very nice man but also told my mother she'd be a "new women" after surgery and she is NOT. Failed to tell her she wouldn't be able to go back to work for at least 2 weeks, his STAFF wont give her a release. The hospital sent her home with a script for PT and Dr Dickerson's nurses said that she isn't even supposed to start PT until week 6, and worst of all she feels exactly the same as she did before surgery. He had made it out to sound as if this was a simple fix and once compression off the nerves was released she would regain feeling. The scheduling to even get this surgery was stressful enough but we thought it would all be worth it in the end. The struggle with the office staff continues and they don't really seem to know what they are doing and they are rude.

Don’t know who the one star reviews are talking about. My wife had surgery in November 2017 with Dickerson and we had a few concerns reading the reviews. He did a knock out job and my wife went from constant neck pain to hyperactivity (her old self). So I returned to Doc Dickerson in March 2018 for my discectomy at L5 S1. I walked out of there 6 hours after the surgery and was back to work one week to the day later. I could have gone back sooner but was told to give it at least a week. Communication was great and my one post-surgery call was returned within a couple hours. If we need any future surgeries Doc Dickerson will be at the top of our list.

When my son was only 5 years old, he was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation. After a year with a neurologist that watched my son's condition get worse and wouldn't help him, I finally got him referred, and this is where he was sent to. He was sent here to see Dr. Dickerson. Within 6 weeks he underwent brain surgery, because the tests ordered by Dr. Dickerson, showed his condition had worsened. I believe that this wonderful man saved my son from paralysis, among other things. He was amazing in every aspect of his job, and even had a way of explaining the procedure to a 6 year old boy while keeping him calm and in good spirits!
