Dr. Whitney saved our son’s life. A couple months ago, we took our son to Urgent Care because he had been running a high fever and it wasn’t improving. To be exact, it was our second visit. During our first appointment with a different doctor, we were refused any tests and told that 4 days of 104F fever were OK for a viral infection. Well, I have very serious doubts about it now. Two days later we were back to hospital where, luckily, this time our doctor was Dr. Whitney. My 8-year-old kid was diagnosed with a substantial pneumonia and had to be put on IM antibiotics immediately. Thanks to Dr. Whitney’s expertise and professionalism, our kid has made a full recovery, he is smiling, running, and full of life.

We took our son to PAMF urgent care for vomiting and abdominal pain, and he was assigned to this doctor, who isn't very good with children and has an unkind attitude. I'm not sure if the doctor was having a bad day or if he has something against people of color, but the visit was unpleasant and unhelpful.

I was very impressed by Dr Whitney! I randomly was connected to him through an urgent care video visit this month for a very concerning rash with hives that my child was having. Dr Whitney was very professional, smart, compassionate, knowledgeable, direct and to the point, and helped me to understand the complex combination of issues my ill child was suffering from. He took the time to also talk with my child about the medical issues, to make sure all of us understood what was happening. He even gave us a personal phone call a couple days later to check in on how my child was doing... Even on his day off! He really went ABOVE AND BEYOND what I would ever had expected! This is the first time a Pediatrician from an Urgent Care has EVER reached out to follow up on the wellbeing of my child. I was very impressed! My child continued to have some different medical issues, so I went to Google Maps to look up the name and number of this Dr, as I was confident I could trust him to help me quickly get to the root of my child's health concerns. (I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I wanted to make sure you could all hear a RECENT and POSITIVE review, too. All too often we only hear about the negative, because oftentimes we only take the time to share our experiences when we're mad.) I was very impressed with the care Dr John C Whitney gave to my child! I will definitely be bringing my children back to him in the future and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get down to the root of any urgent complex medical issues for their children.

Dr Withney was my daughter's doctor at Los Gatos Urgent care. He was very thoughtful and thorough. I was impressed by his experience and knowledge and skills. He explained all steps needed to rule out things and immediately ordered tests. He called me back later to see if i have any questions or concerns. Thank you Dr. Withney!

I would not recommend this doctor at all . I went with my 6 month old and even before assessing the whole situation / severity of my babys condition he recommended dose of steroid ( though 1 dose doesnt damage anything) .. it was still a very rushed recommndation i felt. He is very straight forward and to the point as if he is rushing to catch a plane. He put us in a stress to an extend we ended up giving steroid ( in not so chronic condition) . I met my paedetrician today and he said we could have definitely waited up . I am not questioning his recommendation as much as i am mad at his behaviour and straight forwardness which puts the parent/ patient under stress. He should have examined all the symptons properly and discussed with us in little detail. His approach was take my recommendation or leave the clinic. My baby was not even coughing in front of him and did not have any distressed symptoms. I would recommend to stay away from such doctors. I wish i could go back in time again and not given my 6 month old dose of steroid and waited up a bit.
