Today I requested the services of JWL, to help me get out of a road where my truck got stuck in a tree. My experience was not so pleasant. I had to wait about 3 hours for the tow truck to arrive. The driver took about 10 minutes to pull the truck, and that was fine. But they charged me $476 for that service. They didn't even move the truck to another place. They just pushed it about 10 feet and took it off the tree that was holding it. It's an abuse. For 10 minutes of work, $476.

During the dying days of our last island car, we called AAA somewhat more frequently than we would like. AAA sent JWL Transport Towing. They were great. They responded quickly. They were highly capable in maneuvering our winding narrow driveway up a hill and through the trees. Once they didn’t charge me when the car I couldn’t get started started up for them. We’ve recommended them to friends on Chappy to help transport their treasured restored VW bus and to another friend whose off the grid camp (and old truck) are miles down a rutted narrow dirt road. JWL was always promptly on the job and everyone was happy. Definitely call them first.

John and his son Ethan were a great help with moving our heavy machinery from the ferry to our work site. They were on time and waiting for us when we arrive in Martha's Vineyard. Even on the weekend, they were happy to help us. I would use them again.
