I've driven for American Transportation for about 3 months now, I love it here. I've driven for many other companies that micromanage like crazy. This company has giving me great loads with long runs and I'm making great money, Sandie and Shaun are both nice guys to work with, Maria and everyone else in the office seem to really care about us out here and I'm just very happy here so far. Also getting home just let dispatch know in advance I haven't had any problem. I'd recommend to other drivers only with good experience and records. We don't need any bad drivers or hotrods were a small company and need only good safe drivers, able to get it done right.

I was rear-ended by one of their drivers on March 6, 2020. The driver, Thomas Collins, actually claimed he dropped his unlit cigarette and that is why he failed to stop. Not sure why he would admit that out loud to the state trooper, but okay. Anyway the company has failed to respond to my insurance company's requests to settle up and as a result I was forced to fork over my deductible without compensation. I would advise anyone considering this company to do their homework. My experience with this particular driver left me wondering how anyone like that could be in charge of operating a 30,000 lb. semi on our roads. Update- The owner falsely states below that the insurance company settled my claim. They in fact did not and still haven't as of November 2020. There has been no contact from the company or their insurance company, despite many opportunities. Its amazing that in the tightly regulated trucking industry a company with a demonstrated record of failure can get away with sketchy insurance and no regard for people's property/safety.

Treated myself like a slave not a driver, no driver is happy working for them. Very unprofessional ethnic oriented Busness but don’t qualify anything they claim they are for. Cheat on the mileages driven to cut a pay. Make driver pay insurance deductible always keep two checks behind not to pay if employees leave the company for any reason not worth working for

I've been working for them for 2 years. It's a small company and they treat you like family. You can get all of the miles you can handle. You can get home when and where you need to. You control what you make. Drive hard and keep out of truckstops and make money. Goof off and lollygag... you make what you earn. If you make your deliveries and pickups on time, which is easy... I'm always early lol, you'll hardly hear from anyone. If you call, they answer. Take care of your truck, the freight and the customers and they will take care of you. It's a great little company. I would give them 5 stars if they were big enough to provide insurance benefits.

I have been in trucking over 34 years without a doubt I have not experienced a more welcoming respectful friendly administration and dispatcher. The miles are great the pay is comparable and I just believe best trucking company I have worked for I highly recommended them to true truck drivers thank you Robert King
