Some of the worst driving I’ve ever seen. It’s just a matter of time before this company takes somebody’s life. Trailer number 20096

I admired the fact that this is a minority women owned business for the fact that I myself am a woman in the logistics industry for 8 years now. My first day of work was 12/12/23 & was unlawfully terminated 12/13/23 by HR personal Cecilia. Orientation nor any other proper onboarding was conducted. I had no clue what policy, procedure, benefits, or expectations the company expected from me. I was placed with a person I would share work load with. At the end of the day we had a conversation about our experience and she had disclosed everyone’s salary and had asked me how much I make off of my experience. of course thinking nothing of it because obviously they all talk amongst themselves about their salary I disclosed mine. Well needless to say next day I come to work Hilda from HR came to ask me to come to the office to finally do my onboarding. While she took copies of my documents she advised me that Cecilia wanted to speak to me in her office. Everything was fine she asked how training was going and even asked if I received an email to onboard. Then she brought up the conversation that was had between myself and my coworker. She asked why I would disclose my salary & I simply answered because she asked. She then insulted me by asking me my age and when I answered she said “I’m surprised your that old and you lack common sense.” I had advised her that having orientation on my first day explaining to me what the company policy was would have been helpful instead of just throwing me into a room. I also mentioned that if this is the expectations of employees why isn’t it being held by employees that have been there for more than a year. I asked her for the company’s handbook where it states that employees cannot speak about their wages and she said no don’t worry about it. She started to visibly get upset with me so she basically dismissed me so I asked if there was going to be a problem moving forward since she was being pretty rude to me and she just said I’m going to call the owner. I asked if I could be on the call so I can personally explain myself and she again said no to leave her office and wait for her to tell me if I can stay. of course 2 minutes later she comes outside and tells me I’m no longer needed. 1 minute I’m doing an onboarding and the next I’m fired. Cecilia head of HR makes decisions off of emotions and this is business. She didn’t ask me for my bank information so I can get paid for what I worked which I don’t even care to get because I definitely dodged a bullet. If the owner allows HR to treat employees like that then their values and vision do not align with mine. I highly do not recommend.
