If I could give zero stars I would! Was quoted 3 1/2 hours TOTAL by owner to wrap and move furniture down three flights of stairs to a few buildings down and up three flights. When that quote was given, it was agreed upon because my mom has had this same move a few times in the past and it was always around the same amount of time or less. To start this nightmare of an experience, my mom was one week post op surgery from having cancer removed and wasn’t feeling the best. Two movers( smaller than myself) showed up over an hour late in a U-HAUL( Should have been a red flag it wasn’t a company truck). At the 3 1/2 hour mark the movers were still wrapping and loading the U-Haul at the first apartment. In the process of moving it into the truck, the movers smashed a $300 smart thermostat and damaged inside wall(owner compensated apartments) On the way down with the furniture it was caught on my brother’s ring camera, they smashed her $3k couch multiple times against the outside walls. Once the movers got to the new apartment building, they continued to drag her couch and couch legs against the apartments outside walls( paint transfer and missing wood on all the legs of the couch) When the couch was brought up, it was damaged so bad on the cloth part that it burned through the blanket they used to wrap it with , it looked as if they dragged the couch on the road. Other pieces of wood furniture were damaged and chipped. One of the bar stools got sliced when they used their razor blade to cut the wrapping off. As all of this was happening, I was texting the owner of the company. He assured me things would be taken care of. When the movers were finished moving (about six hours total way passed the quoted time, and as said before many other moving companies have moved the same amount and distance in the past) they wanted us to sign a piece of paper. My brother told them that we are not signing anything until the damages were written on the piece of paper. The two movers then got inside their truck and drove away without saying anything or giving us any documentation of the move. Finally , three weeks later the owner has finally sent me a settlement offer of just $260!! My mom’s couch alone was $3k and in great condition with no scratches or tears before this move! Her couch can’t be repaired and will need to be replaced and that $260 wont even cover repairs of other damaged expensive furniture. I wish I would have read reviews on the BBB before hiring them because it seems like they have a history of damaging people belongings and not wanting to fully compensate them! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

Lighthouse Movers moved my elderly mother from a house she had lived in for almost 40 years into an apartment. Doug responded very quickly and did a wonderful job of giving us a reliable estimate for the work to be done. They delivered moving boxes and tape before the scheduled move date. On the day of the move, the crew did an outstanding job of carefully moving everything while being patient and kind with my mom in the process. Doug checked up with us afterwards to be sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend Lighthouse Movers for your moving needs.

First part of our move is done and Lighthouse movers did an excellent job. Doug handled the booking and Chris and Taylor were very hard workers. Our things are in storage now so I’ll let you know how things are after the final move.
