Leaving a review from a couple of years ago. Dr. Irizarry did a thorough physical and found some suspicious areas that needed to be attended to. After careful evaluation, he found out I had two hernias; one in which was near strangulation if waited any longer. After the evaluation, I was able to seek a surgeon within my network that eventually performed the surgery at Mayo Clinic. I had a good recovery of about 4-6 weeks and was healed with minimal to no complications right before I had to start my dental program. Because of his attention to detail, I can now continue to be physical and have a normal life. I am now graduated from my program and still am very thankful for Dr. Irizarry for doing his best to ensure I had the best care.

Don't schedule an appointment at village medical if you have a child. It seems there is a glitch with their scheduling system where it allows you to book appointments for a child even though the doctor doesn't see peds. I even called to confirm the doctor sees children and they told me yes because this happened last time we came in as well. So I went ahead and got someone to watch my two other kids so I don't have to drag them with us to wait in the office. However, I got a call at the last minute that the doctor will not see a child and they were cancelling my appointment unless I could get into their other office across town in 20 min. Very disappointing. Will not schedule at a village medical ever again.

I have been seeing Dr Irrizari for 3 years. He is so amazing that if he moves to another country, I'm moving too! He listens, he cares about you and your symptoms. His staff is like family to me!

Doesn't listen to patients. Only prescribed cough medicine for a mild cold to a patient that returned to him multiple times with conditions worsening. After my mother with asthma was coughing and wheezing for a month, she was diagnosed (by another physician) with whooping cough and prescribed the proper medicine amoxicillin.
