In the past: 2019: I spend my $$ at places that are grateful to serve me. The workers must not be happy. No one smiled but the constantly laughing Latin gal. It was 1 extreme to the other in there. 1/15/20: I decided to enter this store again today. I decided to give them 1 more try. Everyone was nice & polite. They said thank you, hello, & goodbye. I bought a chicken ban mi, 3 inexpensive pies, & a small container of peanut noodles. The food was very tasty. I can go back there again, since the workers had positive attitudes. I was happy. 1/31/20: The workers were polite & helpful. The food tasted great. The Ban Mi was better without the fish sauce. 5/19/21: The 🐔🍗 ban mi was not good today. The mexican guy put lots of mayonnaise in it! The peanut 🥜 spicy noodles were good. The Batter Bakery 🥜🧈 cookies were great! The cash register guy was friendly & polite. That made me want to return to spend my $$ there. 5/4/23: The ginger 🫚 loaf bread is tangy goodness! I ❤️ it! The prepared food is tasty.

Decent selection of a staples, small but also decent selection of vegan items. Packaged and prepared foods. They unfortunately do not have Coracao chocolates, which would make me give them higher marks.

We used to love going to Luke’s but service quality has gone down terribly. At the check-out, the cashier girl didn’t help bag but also didn’t bother moving stuff closer to where we could bag items ourselves. We had to reach over the payment device to bag stuff. For a $$$ grocery store, service quality is unacceptable. EDIT: Not sure how to reply to Luke's management response below. We went in on May 25 at approx 1-1:30pm.

They brought back Jane's Bakery goods, finally. I was always perplexed why you would discontinue the best baker in town. Anyway for bread only, Luke's is simply to overpriced....sadly with the kind of selections you have.

Cozy local grocery store. Great fresh produce, large selection of dairy and a nice deli. They offer a lot of vegan options (except oat milk...) and fresh bread from a few bakeries around the city. You could also order coffee and sandwiches and sit outside, but to be honest, it seems like they haven't scaled up to cope with the growing demand.. waiting times could be quite long.
