Lumenis: A Company to Avoid at All Costs Review: I had the most horrendous experience with Lumenis. Their sales tactics were incredibly deceptive, and their customer service was virtually nonexistent. I signed a contract contingent on finding suitable financing, but once the contract was signed, they became impossible to reach. After canceling the order within days of signing, Lumenis has been relentlessly pursuing me for payment, even though I never received the product. Their representatives have been incredibly unhelpful and have repeatedly given me the runaround. I have attempted to contact them numerous times, but they have been evasive and unresponsive. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Lumenis to think twice. Their unethical practices and lack of integrity make them a company to avoid. My experience: I was interested in purchasing a multi-functional medical device from Lumenis and met with their sales representative, Andres Zavala. After conducting research and being impressed by the device's capabilities, I decided to move forward with the purchase. A significant red flag arose when Lumenis required me to sign a contract and pay an $8,000 deposit before providing a quote. I agreed to these terms under verbal agreement that I would be able to secure financing at a reasonable interest rate. Following the signing of the contract, communication with Andres became increasingly difficult. Despite repeated attempts to obtain a quote or invoice, I was unable to do so. This made it impossible for me to explore financing options with my banks. Growing increasingly uneasy about the situation, I began to reconsider the purchase. Within three days of signing the contract, I informed Andres of my decision to cancel the order and requested a refund of my deposit. However, he was evasive, claiming to not have the authority to cancel the order. Over the next few days, I continued to try to reach Andres and other Lumenis representatives to cancel the order. Despite my persistent efforts, I was met with evasive responses and lack of cooperation. Lumenis representatives claim Andres has to submit a cancellation request and Andres claims he doesn’t have the authority to do so. To my surprise, after requesting to cancel the order, a delivery from Lumenis arrived at my business without any prior notification. I refused the delivery and continued to insist on canceling the order. However, Lumenis persisted in their refusal to accommodate my request. Frustrated and disappointed, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. My experience with Lumenis has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with this company.

This company gave us a quote of $4500 to come in just for maintenance of our laser hair removal device. Now they’re trying to push a membership on us to bring the price down, but that membership costs money for little difference in the price. Basically, if you don’t pay close to $20,000 a year for maintenance, this is the average cost for work of an hour for the tech to come. This is the besides the fact that there are ADDITIONAL charges if there is something else wrong. To make matters worse, you can’t even hire an outside tech to come in because there’s a specific key that they only make for the techs to come in and do the maintenance. Basically, they hold you as a prisoner and you will never own a machine from them because they hold you hostage with their ridiculous costs and keys. Practices be aware of the hidden costs and consequences associated with the purchase of their devices.
