Beware!! I hired them for a long distance move from FL to NC this August. My inventory was underestimated and I paid an extra $4,500!! (Another company did an in home estimate and even they underestimated how much cubic SQ feet I would need so I think this is just industry wide.) Long distance moves are charged by how much cubic SQ feet you need on the truck. M&D charges an extra $6/cubic SQ ft over your quoted amount (and it is very easy to quickly go over by the 100's if they have underestimated your needs. Mine was an extra 900 cubic SQ ft!). Read the fine print on the contract of course! I was quoted to owe 50% of my balance at pick up and 50% at delivery. When they showed up, they asked for 70% of my balance!! They said it's in the contract that if the miles are over 700 then they have to ask for 70% (and according to the moving crew foreman "the sales person should have known that"). Luckily I re-read the contract and it says UP TO 70% so their Supervisor honored my 50% due that the sales person quoted and was in writing. When looking back at the contract, the sales person had clearly estimated my move was over 700 miles so they would have been well aware of the "up to 70%" policy but still proceeded to quote me 50% and made no mention of the policy. The sales person said I could contact him for any reason the day of the move. Well of course he did not answer my calls, voicemail, or text that day when they were trying to milk 70% out of me. Upon pick up, the crew left several items behind including the mounts, cords, screws, and remotes from the TVs they dismounted. They initially wouldn't unmount one TV saying they didnt have the tool for it. They also left a weight rack and weights that I asked for them to take. Also, be mindful of the quoted delivery time frame. It is in the contract that they technically have 30 days to deliver your goods. So take what they tell you at surface level cause they will certainly let you know after they have picked up your goods that they have that long to deliver if you try to call to follow up when they havent showed up by your estimated delivery date. My stuff was picked up on a Monday and delivered the following Saturday. Nothing like having an empty house with nothing to sit or sleep on and having to go to a hotel or buy air mattresses and fold up chairs while you wait. Upon delivery, I had quite a few damaged items. I had to ASK them to reassemble the items they disassembled at pick up even though it was supposed to be part of the service. They didnt have any tools stating they left it at their last job and had to use mine. The king size wood bed they reassembled, is now squeaking with any slight movement which it never did before and multiple washers were found on the floor that they did not use to reassemble the bed. (Not to mention I had to google for them how to put the bed foundation back together and it took them forever to figure out how to put my ikea dining table back together). My sewing cutting table had the caster wheel broken off and it is now unusable. My shoe cabinet is wobbling from side to side with most of the wooden dowels having snapped off inside it altering its stability (it was completely stable before the move). My leather sectional will no longer recline on the left side and on the right side and one of the power cords looks like it was sliced when taking off the padding. It was just an unpleasant, unprofessional, unreliable effort at ensuring my items were padded well and secured/packed properly for a long distance move that I paid nearly EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS for. I definitely did not get my money's worth and in fact lost money due to the damages incurred. I contacted them regarding my issues to which they said someone from their claims department would contact me. No surprise that I am STILL waiting to hear from someone in that department to rectify the situation. Do NOT risk your money and property with this company. They are not the professional movers they make themselves out to be. You will regret the choice to go with them.

We finally got our furniture delivered yesterday which is 3 weeks after the date the movers had promised. Never use M&D Pro Movers out of Ft Lauderdale, FL. I received an estimate from their salesman (Adam) which had everything we have in our house and he quoted me a price of $5300. However, after the movers packed everything into the truck they told me I was over the limit and had to pay an additional $6900. I had no choice but to pay as our lease was up and they had our furniture on the truck. After all of that we had to wait 4more weeks before our got our delivery. We were promised that our move would be in Texas by August 7th as that was our closing date. They picked up our belongings on July 31 in order to get it here by August 7th. Guess what… it didn’t arrive until August 26th either only 1person to unload the entire truck. He was 3hours late as he kept on getting lost , finally Dan found him and 45minutes away and had him follow him back to our house. After everything was up packed we discovered several things were broken, including a new 56” tv and my 55” is missing. I have moved over 15 times in my career and this was my worst move. The company was not honest from the beginning and definitely underestimated the move. I believe they do this to get your business then sock it to you when you are at your weakest moment. They charged me a lot of money for the worst service I have ever had. The move is over but the fight to get our claim filed and reimbursed for our damages and missing items has just begun. This company made a move that might have been hard and a lot easy. They have careful movers and packers who took great care with all of our things. I would definitely hire them again because their work is the best.

They took care of my TV stand and all my electronics like they were their own. Every cord was packed up, and my speakers made it without any damage. Literally the best!

Great job with our 2-bedroom condo. The movers were careful with our large flat-screen TV and managed to avoid any scratches. Very satisfied!
