Edit: nothing I said was incorrect. The pod was disclosed pre move and non of the gym equipment was commercial. I helped disassemble the gym equipment so your team did not scratch the stuff using channel locks to undo bolts which was the incorrect tool. They also took my rogue rack apart when I wasn’t even there so I don’t know how I did it. They did send a handyman to put the bunk back together but that was the broker not Meta. Took the poor guy 7 hours because they lost screws and bolts (that I had to go buy and replace) during the move from poor packaging. I’ve attached some of their packing photos just to show how poorly it was done. I could take so many more but it’s not worth my time. Absolute worst move I’ve ever had and I’ve done 8 (6 cross country). Packers showed up with a crew of 4 to full pack a 3,000 square foot house and full three car garage. Not only did it take them forever but they carelessly packed some very expensive items in with chemicals that ruined the items after I was very specific on what needed to be packed separately. Then there was the matter of the quote which changed 3 different times to the tune of over $10,000. The final one at 11:30 pm after being there since 8 am. They packed the truck so poorly most of the boxes were crushed or damaged. To add insult to injury it was supposed to be a full pack move and what was taken apart was supposed to be put back together at the new location. They would not and did not assemble any of the items they took apart. If I could give a negative star I would. Avoid this company if you have a lot of stuff and a long distance move.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They just threw stuff around. Not a single box came in looking like a box. Damage to building, damage to items, lost items. Terrible experience all the way around.

They have been the worst experience ever. I would not recommend. I was told four days ago they would begin my delivery the next day. They said it would be 3-4 days for arrival. After several messages I was told my driver had still not showed up to pick up my things. This means I have to live in hotels for several more days waiting. I understood I would have to for a brief time, but now the money this is costing me is not comprobable to my savings. It is costing me 100 to 150 each night for a hotel. Moving is stressful as it is, and this company has made it worse.

DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT use this company. They are a scam. They’d showed up to pick up my items and charged me DOUBLE what I was quoted. And then they took twice as long as the quoted time to deliver my stuff. On top of that they had the audacity to say I needed to pay an additional $900 because they claimed their truck didn’t fit down my street which I’ve seen plenty of other semi trucks go down. This company is a fraud and I would highly encourage you to look for another business to handle your move.

What can I say? This company was absolutely the best moving company I have ever used. My family and I did a long distance move from Schaumburg Illinois to Dallas Texas. Their rates were unbelievably affordable compared to all of the other long distance movers. We moved a 3 bedroom house with all the furnishings, roughly 125 medium sized boxes, an upright freezer, 2 large barbecue grills and an oversized meat smoker all for under $5k. All the big brand name movers wanted over $14k for the same sized move. Meta was professional, courteous, on time, and very careful when disassembling and packing my belongings. Not only that, they were actually able to squeeze us in 5 days ahead of schedule. Maria in customer service was a pleasure and reassured me that I was in good hands. This was my first cross country move, so of course I was a little nervous. It wasn’t known to me at the time, but Maria’s husband was the foreman of the 4 man crew that loaded us up in Schaumburg. He went above and beyond for my wife and I. Him and his crew were the best. I was so impressed that I was kind of hoping they’d be the crew making the trip to Dallas to unload us. That was not to be, however Elay, the driver that brought our stuff down was an absolute beast. The crew on the Dallas end didn’t show up. But did Elay complain? No he didn’t… He manned up, and powered through this move into our new house for the most part on his own. I had to help with some of the bigger items like the king sized mattresses but other than that, this guy was amazing and never complained once. Would I hire this company again? ABSOLUTELY!!!! Even with 75% of the unloading crew missing, this company handled my move better and faster than some of the big boys in the moving industry. I highly recommend Meta Van Lines for your long distance move.
