As a professional luxury realtor in the city for over 30 years I know how incredibly stressful moving can be! I rarely write reviews, but I feel I have to as Midway Movers did an exceptional job for me personally. In my experience moving can be so difficult physically and emotionally I think movers are sometimes in the line of fire -and reviews are notoriously bad. However, I can’t say enough about the midway crew from start to finish ( which ended up being 8:30 pm on a Friday night ) From scheduling with Martha to the amazing crew that wrapped, taped and moved everything, to Jerry the owner, sending an extra crew at the last minute to help finish the job. As a seasoned real estate veteran, they have been my long-time go-to company they always come through -they’ve handled many personal moves for me and my entire family. But WOW! I forgot just how amazing they are! The team who came to help me went above and beyond, staying well into the evening hours without complaint. I also referred Midway to two recent moves for clients in the city, one at the extraordinary Palmolive building downtown and one from a very large single-family home in Lincoln Park. Both jobs required the absolute best care, and they delivered. They gave each client terrific personal white glove service and efficiently moved both so I just wanted to say a big thank you!. They are reliable and trustworthy professionals. I cannot say enough great things about Midway. They are the BEST!!!

These guys were great! I had a lot of heavy items and they were true professionals! I move every year and will make Midway my movers of choice. The guys who helped me were Edwardo and Juan Aguilar, and Jonathan Sosa. They were professional and responsive ensuring that I was satisfied with my moving experience. Thank you so much for your help and easing my anxiety about this move!

Service was great, customer service is subpar. Midway contacted me two days after my move and communicated that they found some of my items that they left in their warehouse. They delivered the next day, later than they communicated. I communicated that there were at least two additional missing boxes. Midway confirmed that I should filed a claim and so I did July 3. Today July 22 I contacted them again to confirm status of the claim because no one has contacted me. Of course I got no answer so I left a voicemail. A couple hours later I received an email denying the claim because at the time of my I’ve a signed a paper. Obviously the paper should be null and voided as the company itself acknowledged they did not deliver all of my belongings at the time of the move June 29. The claim process is a complete joke but my efforts won’t stop here.

We just moved from Chicago to St. Louis in June of 2024. We had a wonderful experience with Francisco, Mario, Palencia, Pedro, Eduardo, and Mike. They were all extremely professional and organized. I love that they did a walk through of my home first and asked me questions about my large bulky furniture. As well as my precious items. We discussed how they would load and transport some of my more delicate items. I’m over joyed to report all my antiques and delicate items arrived in perfect condition. They wrapped the stairs, balconies, wrailings, carpets etc to ensure my house was left spotless. I would highly recommend this crew to anyone looking for a fantastic, timely delivery of your most loved items.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs Our experience with this moving company was beyond disastrous. From start to finish, they caused extensive damage to our belongings and displayed an appalling lack of professionalism. First and foremost, George, the head of operations, was incredibly rude and dismissive. When we reported the extensive damage, he wrongly accused us of trying to scam new items through a claim—an accusation that was not only baseless but deeply insulting. We trusted this company to move our belongings intact, and they utterly failed us. They broke our baby grand piano. Despite testing every key before packing, they dropped the piano during the move, which was captured on video. When we inspected it the next morning, two keys were sunken and unresponsive. The quote we received was for a 7-hour job, but they were in our home until midnight, leaving us to discover the damage the next day. They also broke a bannister in the house we sold. They didn’t inform us about the damage, and we had to hire a workman to fix it, costing us even more money. Additionally, they left our expensive furniture in pieces, with parts scattered and unlabeled. This lack of organization made reassembling our items nearly impossible and left us feeling utterly devastated. The level of carelessness and disrespect shown by this company is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs.
