Movers and shakers was recommended to me by a local professional organizer who often works with recent movers and their various experiences with packers. We were moving from NYC to LA and needed help packing up our clothes and kitchen and then to load into a PODs. I worked with Greg and thought he was great - talked fast and gets straight to the point yes - but clearly has the expertise and experience to advise on what worked best for our needs. I had a lot of concerns how the day would work both packing and loading in the timeline given by PODS but Greg assured me they have plenty experience and can get it done. The crew that arrived came early and were sooo fast. To be honest faster than I expected as I thought I would have more say in direction and what to do but they clearly work best if you just get out of the way. And they were very VERY skilled at packing the POD efficiently and effectively (i was certain the pod was too small). Hopefully most of our items will arrive in decent shape but as for the process of getting everything out the door would movers and shakers.

Use this company. You will not be disappointed! I cannot say enough about how great Movers, Not Shakers! is. They are so professional, so helpful, so personable - and when the stress of moving is overwhelming, they arrive and do it all. And FAST. We have moved with them many times, and this time was for my mother (age 85). I don't know what I would have done without them. they handled everything - dropping off moving supplies (we opted for the eco-friendly bins), providing all the paperwork to the 2 buildings for move out/move in, and showing up on time with an amazing crew! The move was done in a few hours, and they pick up the bins when you are done unpacking. THANK YOU MNS!

Absolute PROs!! My second time using Movers Not Shakers, will only ever use them. They are fast, super careful with all my stuff, very responsive on email, and go over and above! The leg on my dresser was broken and one of them moving crew took the time to fix it for me! Utterly painless move, I couldn’t be happier!

The Movers Not Shakers team moved me and my family from an apartment on 12th St. where we live for 17 years, to a house on 19th St., and managed to load and unload everything in less than five hours. Incredible team work and professional and friendly service.

We just used movers not shakers for our 3rd consecutive move and while we had a good experience with our prior 2 (apartment moves) the move into our current house was horrendous. The movers that were sent were completely inexperienced and did not pack any of our items properly. Furniture was not disassembled or properly wrapped. All of our items were carelessly thrown into boxes without any packing materials used including for delicate breakable items like art, crystal and ceramic dishes and many items were broken as a result. The movers were not skilled in maneuvering the furniture and many doorways and hallways were bumped, the walls and paint chipped and hardwood floors scratched. Fortunately the CEO of the company did reach out to us to remediate and compensate us for the issues we encountered and acknowledged they are focused on improving their quality of service.
