I am writing this review to PROTECT other consumers. If I could, I would rate Barahonas a minus 5. After a $6,779.31 the photo is how our stuff arrived 16 days later. If I were to tell you everything that was extremely dirty, crushed boxes, broken pot plants, I would have to write an article in a magazine. PLEASE do not believe ANYTHING Barahonas tells you verbally because they will point you to the contract you signed (that their lawyers wrote to protect them only). The contract even says the delivery date is an estimate due to "miscommunication" on their part of course. While our stuff was being picked up, we were actually helping the mover (Christian) because he was by himself which took 6 hours. The movers that delivered our stuff to our new out of state address asked for water which I gladly gave them, then the foreman of this 2 man team said I had too many bags of clothes (16 vacuum sealed bags) and that walking them into my bedroom closet was too far and he was going to have to charge extra for this, so, we also helped these 2 movers with our stuff. I watched as the foreman was putting a heavy box on top of another box that was clearly labeled "FRAGILE - China" and had to intervene. This seems like a crooked company because their Bill of Lading says "Front Line Moving" and does not reference "Barahonas." We tried to reason with them for a discount in exchange for their horrible customer service and they would not budge. They do not care about you or your belongings.

This company is really good, they know what are they doing in moving. Price was less than I expected and nothing missing or broke. Best of all I got my stuff on time!! I recommend this company thanks Adolfo!!

Terrible experience, unprofessional, 4 hours late, rude, and I am entirely convinced that if I ever see my belongings again, they will be damaged. The packing was a joke, I ended up doing most of it even though I paid for them to do it. They showed up with not enough wardrobes or boxes. Now, they are holding my belongings hostage saying I owe $3000 more than the estimate and they have yet to confirm a delivery date. These guys are tied to Safe Ship Moving and Front Line Moving who are the brokers who hired these guys and they are just as awful to deal with. Do not hire them.

A trash experience who may have illegal guys working for them. Barahonas Moving, Front Line Moving & Storage and America’s First Moving are all CROOKS!!!! Barahonas sends the Docusign documents. But someone from FrontLine sends the emails w/ poor grammar from a gmail account. I can’t believe I fell for this. They’ve stolen all my items. I had a quick move back to Louisiana and I was bringing some older furnishings. But I had all my nice kitchen equipment packed and all my clothes. It’s all stolen. The customer service tied to America First Moving was rude. Please see my other review. These guys were all working together. They’re too silly to realize they get recorded going in and out of people’s homes. Also I took a photo of the truck but I imagine the license plates are probably stolen. These guys need to be stopped. You have no way of knowing who they are when they show up because they aren’t wearing any uniforms. The truck looks like a piece of junk. I truly am living a nightmare right now. These clowns have stolen my things are are still trying to run a credit card that has been cancelled by now. Anyway, beware. I will be on the phone to the police bright and early tomorrow. Thieves!!

I am still haunted by the traumatic ordeal I endured while moving with this company. In December last year, we needed to relocate our office from Austin to New York. We chose a brokerage service, I believed the extra cost would ensure a seamless moving process, especially since they assured me, they would handle everything diligently. I meticulously documented all our furniture, providing detailed lists and photographs to aid in their estimation process. However, our troubles began when the initial price estimate was abruptly inflated due to an erroneous calculation on their part. Despite the mounting costs, we reluctantly agreed, assuming this adjustment would be the last. To compound matters, the brokerage company subcontracted a subpar and unprofessional moving firm, Barahonas Moving, to execute the relocation. The moving team from Barahonas arrived significantly late and at the wrong location, immediately asserting that the square footage estimate provided by the brokers was inaccurate. Threatening to leave unless we paid an additional $3,000 (for a total of 15K), we felt coerced and betrayed. With limited options, we reluctantly acquiesced, hoping to salvage the situation. The incompetence of the movers became increasingly apparent as they confessed to being mere drivers and not skilled professionals. Their work was lackadaisical and disorganized, lacking the necessary tools and expertise to disassemble and reassemble our furniture properly. Consequently, a lot of items were damaged, soiled, and marred during transit. To add insult to injury, the movers callously disregarded our belongings and hastily left before completing the final inventory, leaving us with missing items and a tremendous sense of loss.
