The store owner is very friendly and helpful. Gives us lots of information on how to choose a good piano. And he is a very professional pianist as well which makes it much easier to tell the difference between each piano. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a grand piano.

I love this store, and I often go there for no reason. When I asked many piano teachers and friends, they highly recommended it. Even the owner of the music classroom recommended it for buying pianos. After visiting a few times, when friends wanted to buy a piano, I always brought them here... The location is very convenient, right across from Valley Fair. The storefront is not very big, and even a bit hidden. However, as soon as you step inside, all you can see is great pianos... As I walked into this store, it was very comfortable, and the space was spacious and clean. As soon as I walked in, the owner introduced himself very politely. He noticed that I wasn't very familiar with some piano brands, so he patiently began to tell the stories and histories of many brands. It was so fascinating that I couldn't help but keep asking questions, and the owner was super patient and explained every question in detail. I learned so much in just one or two hours... I grew up in Asia, and I only knew Yamaha and Kawai from childhood. When buying my first piano, I only thought about the brand and where it was made, considering not wanting to discount it too much when selling it, but I ignored many of the essential conditions that a piano should have. It wasn't until I stepped in here and got in touch with so many pianos with better quality and sound that my horizons widened! So many things, explained by the owner, were simply a baptism of knowledge! I didn't pay any money, but I had a solid piano brand story lesson. To find a good piano, the owner even went to the studio factory of the German brand's headquarters, thousands of miles to find a good piano, and directly discussed with the brand's owners and high-level executives. In the Bay Area, in Silicon Valley, this store offers a glimpse of the world-class pianos, What's even better is that you can play any of the world-class pianos you want, very generously! If anyone needs it, just go for it and visit. You will love it too.

I recently purchased a refurbished, pre-owned Yamaha UX3 and couldn’t be happier! Austin the owner and Jonathan were fantastic to work with — I visited all the other piano stores in the South Bay and the folks at Colton were the best at helping me find a piano with a sound I like and fit my space. They were clearly very passionate about pianos and patient — I came in twice and called between then. Highly recommend!

I spent months looking for my perfect piano. #1, I wanted a white piano #2, I didn’t want it to sound tinny and metallic. This search was harder than I expected! I finally came across Colton Piano, and I found a fantastic white chrome German-designed piano that was priced far below what I expected. Jonathan and Austin were super friendly. I think they are both concert-level pianists, and they have economics degrees. They helped me understand that pianos can cost a lot more if the manufacturers are “helping” music artists in exchange for exclusivity. It makes perfect sense now, but it never crossed my mind. Jonathan and Austin, thank you for the wonderful piano!

Wow, I am impressed with the Schimmel K280 design and attention to detail, they designed it to resonate other octaves and chords in harmony across the board instead of resonating everything creating dissonance. Basically the piano sound is very clear, warm and full! Great owner, very informative and no pushy sales. Great place to just drop by and visit!
