10/5/23 I worked here 1 month and quit, the experience was terrible the owner is not honest and will tell you anything for you to do what he wants. The owner misclassifies you as contractor so he can pay you on a 1099 and not pay payroll taxes. But he most definitely tell you how to do EVERYTHING. 1. The pay is never correct always lower than the miles you drive, extra stops aren’t paid. 2. You wait 24-34 hrs between loads for reload because the owner wants to find the perfect paying load for himself. 3. Very low miles (2400 weekly) 4. The owner doesn’t like to replace tires unless steel is showing through tread. 5. The owner will not send roadside to repair equipment hates spending money on repairs and will force you to drive defective and unsafe semi/trailer to the shop. 6. The owner will force you to use Personal Conveyance to make on time appointments for pick up/delivery even during your 10hr break, if you are late he takes money from you even if you are on 10hr break. 7. I was out 2 weeks and went home on Friday evening and he gave me a load picking up Saturday morning at 7am, the owner doesn’t care about you having time at home. 8. I was given truck 1947 and it was junk, prior drivers didn’t take care of it, it was dirty and smelly and the owner doesn’t spend money to keep it nice. 9. I was given trailer 552, it needed a new battery the trailer hadn’t been washed out had maggots inside was disgusting. In my 12 years of trucking this was the worst place I’ve ever worked. The worst owner I’ve ever worked for.
