On Thursday Aug 29, 2024 from 4-4:30pm on the 5 between sac and La I was driving my daughter to college and all of a sudden in the fast lane a massive semi came up on my bumper coming closer and then backing away quickly while honking repeatedly. I pulled into the right slow TRUCK lane thinking the poor trucker must’ve lost his brakes and was desperate. I looked in my rear view mirror and the driver was giving me the bird over and over. At first I laughed bc he was purposefully holding behind me just enough so that I was sure to see his hand. AND HE JUST HELD STEADY THERE FLIPPING ME OFF!! Soafter 10-20 seconds I pulled back into the fast lane and kept driving thinking, “ok great, he got out his anger hope he feels relieved and now we can get on with driving.” Lots of traffic but his truck in the faster left lane was holding ppl up behind him. Once I jumped back in there he went ballistic and was literally 2 feet from my bumper. Honking like mad, flashing his lights and acting like he wanted to ram my rav4. I looked for the first opportunity to pull to the right, pass a cpl cars and put space between us. My heart was beating so fast but I was trying to downplay my concern bc my 18 yr old with me. The guy was a raving lunatic!! He literally followed me into the right lane, sped past the cars and I slowed down so he could pass me too but nope, he matched my speed and was moving close to the middle line acting like he was going to run me off the road flipping me off and yelling. (All of us going 75-80) I sped up to get away and he cut off the ppl behind me to jump back in the fast lane and kept tailing me honking and erratically jerking his massive semi close to me. There was so much traffic going faster then slowing down and when I’d brake like everyone else all I could c was his grill and he’d lay on his horn. I literally thought he was going to crash thru and smash us multiple times. My daughter was looking for exits so I could just get away but there weren’t any!! We finally called 911 and my daughter took a photo and right then he passed on the right and then pulled in front of me and I slowed down to put distance there as I was talking to the dispatcher. I was shaking. This driver should have his license suspended and anyone who thinks about doing business with this company needs to seriously consider these many reviews and take their money elsewhere. I kept my distance and eventually he got off around Santa Nella. (Or close to there) SCARY! Truck #5316

I called to complain about one of their drivers speeding, weaving in and out of traffic and tailing cars 2 ft away!! Found that they are a foreign company who don't really care. I told the person who answered the phone, okay, it's your CSA score and most likely you won't be in business for very much longer and hung up.
