I hired Port Baku movers and the movers didn’t even attempt to properly put my bed together. One of the boards was fully loose with no screw and the rest were drilled in at random parts of the boards and not where they were supposed to be. I emailed them numerous times asking them to come and reput the bed together properly and asked why nothing had been said initially, because they said it was likely because my bed was poor quality, and they responded saying they could put it back together but then stopped responding to me after I repeatedly tried to schedule a time. My bed ended up falling apart, as I expected, and then they wouldn’t even come and pick up the pieces of the bed that were left, telling me it would be an extra charge. Completely absurd and horrible customer service.

It has been a NIGHTMARE using Port Baku Movers. First, I get a call at 10pm (less than 12 hours before the move) that there is an $180 long distance fee since my move was 50 miles. Why wasn't this communicated earlier? They caught me at a bad time since it was the end of the month and I needed to be moved out before the 1st. So I had no choice but to pay it. Second, the movers truck broke down. I get it, life happens. But this was a huge inconvenience, and they charged me extra hours for some of the time the truck was down. It took 5 HOURS for them to finally make it to my home. Also, they NEVER communicated with me and told me that there was an issue. After the truck didn't arrive for 30 minutes, I had to call them and then they explained the situation. Even after that, not once did they reach out to me to give me any updates. I had to keep calling them for updates. Unprofessional customer service. Third, the movers TORE MY HOUSE UP. This is literally a brand new house that now has chips and punctures in the baseboards and walls. Black scrape marks everywhere. They told me the best they could offer me is $40 to fix the damages. The damages clearly will cost more than $40 to fix. They did all this damage to not even get the couch upstairs. Lastly, they overcharged me. I was charged for 7 hours of service. I tracked them myself and it took exactly 2 hours to load the truck, 1 hour to drive, and 2 hours to unload. I should have been charged for 5 hours. I would have even understood 6 and accepted it. I think they tacked on an extra hour fee for the truck malfunction, but that had nothing to do with me. Also, if you don't mention your deposit, they won't subtract it from your total and they'll charge you an extra $50. Overall, using Port Baku was the worst mistake ever. I've used plenty of other moving services and have never had these issues. They lack efficient communication, the movers damage homes, and they will squeeze every little drop of money out of you. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. 0/5

Kelvin and team were great and helped us make the move to Richmond from Arlington. They took very good care of all our stuff and were respectful of our new house. His team wrapped heavy items in moving blankets to avoid dinging any walls accidentally in a 3 story townhouse. We were very happy with their professionalism and would highly recommend them!

DO NOT HIRE COMPANY: CONTACT POLICE AND DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. They literally just forged a ton of documents to my bank and altered my emails. If you have a similar situation reach out to me because I am taking legal action. They are also under various different LLCs. I have all the local and federal agencies you need to contact if you encounter this scam artist. Please check your accounts and beware of cyber-attacks from them as well. This moving company is a rip-off and falsely advertised their ability to move a household of one. My items were severely damaged and took 11hours. I hired the company to move a one-bed room den apartment to my new apartment in WDC which is 14.7 miles away and 22 minutes duration in driving. I called my rental insurance and they indicated that my coverage does not coverage moving damages, but they indicated they would look into the company and reported that the company is strange, and they suggested that I take pictures, contact the company, make a police report and contact the Better Business Bureau. The company was moving between two different states so insurance coverage mandatory by the moving company. When I contacted the manager and sent picture he did not respond. I contacted my banking company, and they were investigating but now after seeing what they forged and gave my bank, I am taking taking severe measures to ensure someone else does not become a victim. One word - VALUE. I could not believe how well the move went which was handled by Mega and Tommy. I needed their assistance with our heavy furniture which they were meticulous in ensuring everything was protected and handled with care. We have some pretty large pieces including a peloton and the team did an including job navigating three flights of stairs to load everything in the truck and over to our new place. Nothing was damaged, they worked from the minute they got there, and overall took about 3 hours to fully move our furniture from point A to point B. I will without a doubt use Port Baku again, if you are using any other moving company you are 100% over paying!!
