I can't say enough about how pleasant it was to work with Portland Movers Company (PMC) after a hard moving process. I hired them for 3 people and a 26' truck to move my possessions from a UPack trailer (at the UPack dock in NW Portland) to a storage facility while my family continued our home buying search. 'PMC' even heroically solved a problem I faced with the storage facility, which was totally above and beyond. Here's why I'll never work with another moving company or recommend anyone else. The process of getting a quote, reserving your date, and coordinating with the team was very easy since I essentially worked with one person. I had a two-day window to pick up my items and PMC was able to schedule me in with no problem. For the actual move, PMC was able to back their truck up to my UPack storage trailer and easily offload things that way. The guys were all very friendly PMC started at a disadvantage since the people that packed my storage trailer did a terrible job. And since PMC backed their truck up to the trailer, they only had so much room to set things aside and pack things in a better way. But watching them move things around, cover and secure, and stack things into their truck, you can tell they are true professionals. They noted things that broke on the trip, and made the extra effort to wrap things up even more to ensure the trip to the storage unit would not break anything else. My contact reached out in the middle of this asking if everything was ok, and there were a couple of other guys that stopped by to pick something up from my mover's truck and helped out while they were there. Once we arrived at the storage facility, my unit was still locked. I tried frantically contacting the facility via different methods, but since it was after office closing hours, there wasn't anything I could really do until it reopened the next day. I asked my contact what my options were and they said they can keep the truck in their yard overnight and come back the next day to unload like normal. Hearing that was a huge relief and they took care of my immediate needs. The next morninig I went to the storage facility to resolve the issue and then got a hold of my contact to confirm things were clear. They showed up at the time they said they would the previous day and went to work. I unfortunately had a different team this time (the same team means they know what they're moving around), but the new guys were still nice though quiet. They asked questions about the contents so they could best organize the storage unit, but otherwise this team worked just as quickly and efficiently as the previous one. They packed the storage unit really well in a way that I can access the depths of the unit without having to move everything to get there. We were fortunate to have a 10x30 unit to make this possible, and honestly I prefer it this way since we'll need to access various things in storage while we buy and work on a house before moving in. I didn't even ask them to load it this way, so it was really considerate for them to store things in that manner. Overall, it was an excellent experience. They gave me status updates about arrival times, they were quick to note broken items, pack other items better for this next move, and didn't break a thing. And above all else, I didn't have to 'Karen' anything about this - their prices and my expectations matched exactly what they said it would be. PMC was professional in every sense of the business, and it's why I highly recommend them. Attached photos: The bad packing of the original UPack movers, the awesome packing when PMC loaded their truck, and the artful packing of my storage unit.

My experience with PMC was great! Easy to schedule and I appreciated the follow-up calls to ensure everything was set for the day of the move. On moving day, the crew had finished up another job early and were available to head our way. I appreciated that it was an option and there wasn't any pressure to take the new time slot. When the crew showed up, they got everything done efficiently and were professional. We had some extra time left on our reservation when they finished, so they offered to help us rearrange or move things around if we wanted things set up differently. Based on my experience, I would recommend Portland Movers Company and I'll definitely use them for any future moving needs I have.

I called same day for some help unloading my U-Haul, and they pulled through! Movers were late because they were finishing up another job but to be honest, I was just happy to find someone to help in such short notice! They were able to unload everything in an hour and fifteen minutes even though they have a 2 hour minimum. I was happy to pay for two hours due to how hard they worked & how they pulled through last minute. Thanks again!

First of all, I had a great move with these folks 2 years ago. They were super friendly and efficient. Unfortunately there was damage to my new house because there was low clearance over the driveway. They came out to fix it right away, but over time the fix failed. When I called them 2 years later they did not hesitate to replace the whole thing. The contractor they sent was great. I am still shocked by the customer service. They were right on it!
