After reading and seeing the low rating on this office I am not shocked to see that I am not the only one that felt uneased about this Doctor's office. I scheduled an annual visit recently. When I got to the office, they wanted to charge me their $95 office fee since I had a deductible to meet. I had to inform them that I was very well aware of what my insurance covers and that an annual check up should be covered 100% by my insurance. After that they went ahead and updated their system and changed the billing code to an annual visit rather than an office visit like they tired to bill initially. I get a call back a couple days later asking me that the doctor would like to go over my results in person and that they need me to go for an appointment. I asked if there was a charge for this (which I notice they never mention any charges unless you ask) and they let me know I would have to pay $95 so the doctor can go over my results with me. SMH. I am not sure what this office is trying to bill my insurance and I feel so bad for people going to this office that might be getting overcharged during their visits and have no knowledge of what their insurance will cover when needing to go to the doctor. You can definitely tell this office takes advantage of their patients and cares more about collecting cash for any little reason rather than doing what is best for their patients and their needs. I requested to get a copy of my results sent to me so I can go to a different physician. They told me they would "discuss" my concerns to the doctor and have someone call me back. I hope I don't get the run around and hope they can send me the requested medical records soon. I am baffled by this whole situation.

I’m surprised this doctors office is still open! Everyone there is so unhappy, including the doctor. As soon as you walk in you’re not greeted with a smile and a good morning, you’re greeted with a despise look, as if we are not supposed to be there. The patients that are still at this office is because they don’t want to or don’t have the energy to call and look around for another PCP. I will be looking for another doctor for my mother. And there’s also favoritism between patients. I wasn’t able to go back with my mom and brother to speak with the doctor, but watched another family of three walk back, no questions asked. My mom has gone to this doctor over and over due to discomfort & tiredness. Months later we find out she a spot on her lungs, and in her brain. I think he should’ve took her more seriously. I waited by specialist instead of having to go to the emergency room to get the news. Where is the care????

Just now seeing Reviews of how bad this person has treated other peoples parents. I feel silly for thinking my mom was exaggerating when she told me he was extremely rude and disrespectful. Don’t recommend anyone go see this doctor!

I’m just now being told about how horrible Dr. Raul Rivera mistreated my parents. I witness how he talked to my father and now how he mistreated my mother and how employees didn’t say a word to stand up for their patient. I would so report him but my mother refuses to relive the moment! I pray he gets his License taken away. He does not deserve to medically treat anyone. People, you must speak up! I’m still working on changing her mind. No one deserves to be mistreated in any way! I would void the 1 STAR but it won’t allow me to bypass it.

Dr. Rivera has been my mom's doctor for many years now. He will personally call her to remind her to come in and get checked. He stays on top of her health more than she does. The staff has always treated my mom very kind. He is very thorough, always makes sure she gets all the necessary tests done in order to treat her in the most efficient way possible.
