reliable van storage

I will begin by saying that my move was slightly complex. Two different houses were moved into long-term storage in NJ. All the details about the moves were discussed upfront and agreed to. The moves went smoothly. However, fast forward a few years when it was time to move into a new home and remove my items from storage, the company held my items hostage in storage, demanding that I pay an addition $6k+ to have the items delivered. Despite having documents and correspondence showing that they were suppose to move the items to a new home under the previous contract at no additional charge. They claimed that because it was a few years later they couldn't honor the agreement. My partner and I were working with a tight window for having things delivered and the company knew this and used that as a way to extort additional funds from us. Despite multiple conversations with the team to try and find common ground and make it a win-win situation for both sides, they continued to pressure and hound us during the days leading up to the move date to transfer the $6k+ via wire transfer or loose our delivery window. So because we couldn't miss the delivery window we paid the additional moving fee. The delivery happened as scheduled, but so many high-value things were damaged from the move. Now the company is refusing the send the insurance documents so that we can submit an insurance claim on the policy that we already paid for. In short, I'd use a different company to move.

This is the third time I've used Allied Van Moving for long distance moving and my first experience with their affiliate Reliable Van & Storage, as this third time I was only moving a small load instead of a house full of furniture. I was NOT disappointed with the results of this last move. Jessica, the moving coordinator, and her colleagues were so easy to work with. Everyone involved, office crew and the actual movers were respectful, considerate and courteous and knowledgeable. My belongings arrived on time and in good condition. I would highly recommend using Allied and Reliable Van and Storage.

My interstate move was all I could have hoped for. Seamless from end to end. I’m thrilled and grateful. This was a big move with a lot of moving parts. Art, instruments, large heavy pieces some with glass fronts. Not a scratch, everything delivered and reassembled. The moving coordinator Jose, really made it stress free. Floor protection was skillfully utilized, they were consummate professionals. Big respect

First quote was $4,500 for 350 cubits, but was charged $3,000 more because supposedly I had too much stuff. Complete nonsense. Completely under-packed my boxes; a few pots in a huge box filled with stuffing paper (refer to pics). Demanded a quarter of the total in cash which I did not have. Left angry without leaving the contract, inventory, or even a receipt of having received the amount in cash. Asked to take a picture of my stuff stored in the truck, but he refused. Would not give me his name when asked. Also, workers did not understand English so they ended up packing everything (including my shoes) even though I specifically said not to pack certain items. Horrible experience! Got swindled.

We recently worked with Reliable, on a project at the Newark Liberty International Airport, for the second time. Exceptional service, to say the very least! Michael, Renee, Christina, Shane, Felix, and Phil all welcomed our team back with open arms. We always know we can trust in Reliable to get the job done and beyond expectations. No matter what we have asked of Reliable, they have stepped up every time! We will be back for the next one!
