Relief movers did a great job with our 3BR cross country move. We threw some curve balls and they made everything work. Their team can move some serious weight with ease (shout out to Marcel for somehow being delicate with items including an enormous deep freezer). Nothing missing, nothing broken, fairly priced and good communication. I also appreciated the local, family owned vibe. I got quotes from several national companies and what stood out to me is that Adam came out and did a walk through with his partner before providing a quote, which helped me to put my trust in this company to move all my belongings.

Adam and his team did a fantastic job moving my family across the country. They listened to our input, took special care to protect items, and operated extremely quickly. And Adam was always very easy to contact whenever I had a concern. Relief Moving Company took a LOT of the stress out of moving and I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone considering professional movers.

Relief movers was referred by a friend. Adam came to our home to give us a quote on moving our belongings to South Dakota. Adam has a 26 foot truck he said would hold all of our possession. I was nervous that he had under estimated the volume of stuff we had to move. After a second phone call about the large quantity of stuff to move, Adam came back out and did another walk through. Again, he said that he had us covered. Saying it would be tight but he was confident he could move it all. Adam also gave us a revised quote which was still acceptable. Well, on move day Adam's 26 foot truck filled up pretty quickly. We also saw our possessions being stacked and jammed into the truck. Adam rented another smaller truck to handle the rest of our possessions. The second truck was packed tight, yet all of our possessions didn't fit. We had to repack our trailer that had very fragile glassware and giant house plants. (Tree like plants, some of which are 40 years old) to get the remaining possessions packed Adam couldn't handle. Our plants didnt fare well and were broken on the move because of having to utilize all the space to get in everything Adam couldn't take. Adam showed up on time In SD. Unloading everything with local help he set up in advance. Adam never mentioned needing more money for the extra truck. We actually took Adam and his family to dinner after the unpacking of the trucks. When we received the bill from Adam it was almost $2,000 more than quoted. (Again, nothing was ever said about more money in person.) Also, when we unpack our possessions several things were broken. Along with an industrial microwave/pizza oven. Adam eventually refunded us just under $800 dollars. NOT what we were quoted. And no offers to replace broken items. Adam and his family are super nice people and very hard workers. And his children who he brought with were well mannered. I just dont feel Adam/Relief Moving company is set up to do large moves. Our move should have had a semi trailer to move everything. Adam has a 26 foot truck. I give Adam 5 stars on attitude and his work ethic. But give him 3 stars on the actual move and his lack of ability to estimate the size of the truck he needs for a move. And being up front with the hidden charges that we saw hit our credit card after the move.

Front start to finish, the process was easy, professional, and rewarding. I called and actually spoke with a person! They thoroughly understood what I was asking for and left me reassured and comfortable. The movers were extremely professional both with the pickup and delivery.
