A very poor experience. I would definitely avoid them. I booked a car transport 2 weeks in advance with a quoted date and price, but in the end they could not get a driver until a week later and it was going to be 40% more. And they couldn’t seem to care less. I should have known something was not right about them as the communication was terrible from the start. So if you want an unreliable, uncommunicative, dodgy, and ultimately untrustworthy vehicle transport company pick Road Runner. If not then go elsewhere!

0 stars. They had a week to schedule a driver, but today is the day and there has been no communication from them. Now they won't answer the phone for us to cancel the order so we can use an ACTUAL car transport company. They leave us on hold for 40 minutes at a time. Absolute garbage.

On August 31st I requested my vehicle to be picked up. I was notified on September 1st that a carrier was assigned, but did not have a time frame. The carrier then called and stated they would be picking up my vehicle between 9-1. The carrier then called back and stated we could not pick up at a residence. This was never told to me during any phone call I had with the vehicle coordinator. The pickup time then had to be rescheduled for 7pm. From Friday evening until Tuesday morning I had 0 communication of where my vehicle was. The ‘24 hour’ tracker does not work. Their ‘live’ agents are never active. They also do not pick up the phone when calling nor does the phone ever go to voicemail. I was on hold for 45 minutes at one point. I was never told that my vehicle would be transported by a third party vendor. There is a HUGE disconnect between Road Runner and the vendors they work with. After reading previous reviews I can say the same- the communication needs to improve. Tuesday afternoon I finally received an email and call back stating my vehicle was in transit. Today, September 6th we received a call that my vehicle would be at the drop off at 1p- again the drop of location had to be switched due to the lack of communication. Upon arrival the driver informed us of a ‘$900 cash fee in order for us to receive my vehicle.’ After telling the driver absolutely not we already paid upfront- he dropped it. AKA the driver (Golden Gate LLC) wanted a bigger piece of the pie. While I am glad my vehicle is safe and no damage to it- I will never use or recommend road runner again for a transport service.

***WARNING*** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Absolute worst experience of my life with any commercial interaction. These are brokers who literally give you a contract with tons of small print exceptions take your money and wash their hands of you. They have no problem making promises that are impossible to keep because they pass you along to a trucking company that cannot deliver on what they sell you. Absolute CROOKS. Work directly with a transport company so you at least know what can be done vs literally standing on the side of an industrial road 10miles from my home where the delivery was supposed to be waiting 2 hours at 6am for an 18 wheeler to deliver your car in the middle of an intersection. Zero sympathy. Zero communication. Zero customer service. Don’t waste your money

It would be helpful if some ever answered the phone. Every number I call just rings forever with no answer.
