My partner and I recently relocated back to San Diego. Due to accepting a new job in San Diego, my goal was to purchase a new property prior to starting the position and although this may sound like a simple task, I wanted to complete this in less than 6 weeks. From the moment I accepted my new job, I was placed in contact with Mick who immediately reached out to us to gain an understanding of our real estate wish list. Mick quickly grasped what we were seeking and provided his expert advice on the local market and since we were relocating from out of state, he also provided recommendations for a listing agent and brokers to obtain a pre-approval for our new home loan. At no point in this process did we feel pressure to make a decision. Mick was very accessible during our home purchase, is meticulous, trustworthy, and responded to our inquires in a very prompt and courteous manner. For each home we toured, Mick honed in on specific likes/dislikes and provided his expertise on our potential investment. Mick is a great negotiator and negotiated a reduction in the purchase price for our new home. The rapport we built with Mick put us at ease and we are 100% confident on our investment. I have worked with at least 6 realtors and Mick is by far, the best realtor I have ever worked with and if/when it comes time to list/purchase a new property, I will not hesitate contacting Mick again.

Ours wasn't an ideal situation: out-of-state buyer, (relatively) quick turnaround, and competitive market. A recipe for frustrating situations or, worse, hasty (and ultimately regrettable) decisions. But fortunately we found a true partner in Mick. He started out with an introductory call to understand not only our situation, but our needs. It was a great conversation that not only addressed the context and logistics of our move, but other home buying goals we had as well. That initial conversation gave us peace of mind that we were in good hands. And through every stage of the buying process, he proved to be that partner and ally in our home buying process. He listened to what we wanted and hoped for, took the lead when he knew he needed to drive the process, and ultimately guided us to our new home with advice and counsel that made us feel confident in our decision. In short, all that you would want from an agent.

Looking for a house to buy in North County in one of the craziest real estate markets ever - with a baby on the way and an unfinished cross-country move looming – we really needed an agent who could help us navigate more than just the week’s new listings! Luckily, we ended up choosing Mick. As our agent, Mick brought a great balance by being extremely proactive on showings, upcoming listings, and writing offers; while maintaining a laid-back posture that never made us feel like we needed to make decisions we weren’t ready for, or get in over our heads. His stress-free and level headed approach made what was a stressful time in an intensely competitive market seem manageable and, dare I say, even fun. He learned our tastes and the nuances of what we were looking for very quickly, so we always got a heads up when something that was up our alley was coming up. The custom search he set up for us was great – a helpful email with new listings matching our criteria in our inbox every morning. We quickly learned that, in the late 2021/early 2022 market, if we saw something we liked we better try and see it immediately, and Mick was almost always able to make that happen right away. Once we found our home and got our offer accepted, Mick was very involved in all negotiations, helped resolve all issues with the selling party, and everything was handled with grace and professionalism.
