We used this service for 3 years of my daughters college experience. The first couple of years they picked up boxes and large items like TV and rug, stored for the summer, and then delivered to her new room in the fall. No issues and the movers were always friendly and courteous. This past year, they picked up her boxes and shipped them back to my house since she graduated. We got an email with tracking details and they arrived Wed, just days after the Sat pickup. Well done!

The movers were awesome. They showed up 30 minutes into our 3 hour window, both when they picked up the boxes and when they were delivered back to us. They were friendly, polite, and clean. I’ve experienced some pretty unhygienic movers before, so clean is really appreciated. I would totally recommend Dormroom Movers.

First of all, this is an expensive route to go. However, this seemed like a perfect option for my daughter knowing that her room would be located on the third floor of a house with no elevator. She has health limitations that allow her to lift 15 lbs. at the most. Move-out went smoothly. Move-in was terrible. We were given the time to arrive for the move and the movers arrived much earlier. We were located 10 minutes from the house, and they refused to wait for us to arrive. When we arrived at the house, all her items were left on the front porch. We immediately reached out to get customer assistance but were told that they did not have a way to contact the local movers directly and offered us no assistance. Zero customer service. A couple of days later I started to receive a few calls asking me about our move and received lots of apologies. They did not offer any type of partial reimbursement. They kindly offered to waive the initial setup fee for her move the following year, I believe it was approximately $39. I made it clear that I would not be using their services again!

Easy to use website and supply delivery made everything for move out very efficient. Dorm movers communicated with school for delivery. Over all very easy and convenient to use. Student was able to do everything on her own and nothing was lost during storage or delivery. Would recommend and do again!

This company is a complete scam. I lost over $1,000 with them. They claim to have service in New York, but they don’t actually have storage or drivers. They hired unprofessional workers who aren’t part of their company. Even though they advertise free delivery, when it’s time for your items to be returned, they pretend to show up but never do. As a result, I had to pick up my six large boxes myself, which was an hour away. As a student without a car, I had to spend half my living expenses on Uber to get my boxes. I haven’t had good food for two months and have been eating fast food every day, which has caused me to gain weight and have panic attacks because of this company. It’s really frustrating.
