It took these guys 6.5 hours to move a one bedroom apt. Charged for boxes and gas. I paid $1,225. $1325 with the tip I gave the guys. To make things worse i literally did a lot of the move myself because they were taking so long. Without me im convinced it would’ve took another 3 hours. I talked to the owner, and was treated with terrible customer service. They broke a wooden desk and when I asked to be compensated I was told to file a claim. I would not recommend this company at all.

I hired his company to pick up my belongings put them in storage for several days and then drop off. While everything seemed fine at first as I go through my things, their condition shows a complete and utter disregard for my belongings. Items are missing, high value items are damaged, and my couch is just blatantly not put back together properly with spare parts hidden inside. For the Hefty fee that I paid, I would not recommend this company to anybody who values their things

After researching dozens of local moving companies, S&D was the most reasonably priced with the best reviews. They required a 3 hr minimum but only took about 2 hours to move me from a 1br to a studio. They were really attentive and careful and they walked me through the truck before (to make sure it was clean and safe for my stuff) and after (to show they didn’t forget anything) the move itself. They had blankets and extra supplies incase you don’t have a box for your TV or don’t want a leather couch to get scratched up or something. They were very friendly and chatty. Very easy to work with, I didn’t need to give them directions to get to my new building or even walk them through the halls to show them what path to take. They did everything start to finish for me, and I would definitely use them again!

I moved last week from Bird Rock to Del Mar and because of a previous horrible experience with another mover, it took me forever to select a moving company. After a few non-pushy, informative conversations with sales rep Aron, I decided to go ahead with S&D Moving. I am so glad I did! Shane and Will were the team that took care of me. They called twice before arriving, were super punctual, professional, efficient, and even better: caring and kind. They had to deal with a little bit of a set-back from the Bird Rock building, but never lost their cool. They worked really well as a team and remained courteous to me - and to each other - the whole time. They went above and beyond to even ensure that the storage unit attached to my new place was organized, rather than dump everything in it, but without going over time. They even fixed one of my pieces of furniture that had been broken by the previous movers. I highly recommend S&D Moving, and Shane & Will in particular. Thank you guys, really well done!
