Nice area to pull over and plenty of room for private beach spots. There are many spots like this up and down the coast, though.

Peaceful, wide, and cool beach with big waves which is the perfect place to surfing. But be careful with the waves! I saw a post about searching a kid who lost in the beach. Hope the kid is safe and safe to be back to his or her parents. You may park along the road with more than 20 availabilities. But there is no restroom here， even mobile toilet which is the big problem for the family with kids. Better bring a trash bag, there is no trash can in the beach, but the parking lot. On the right side of the beach, you may see some sea creatures like crabs and jellyfish. We saw a cute sea lion today! Very lucky!

Simple pull off on Hwy 1. Very safe south bound, be careful if you are going north bound. I saw many flocks of migrating pelicans. These really are majestic birds.

This might be my favorite beach of all time. It was too cold to even consider going in the water but the views were breathtaking. It was also completely empty, we were the only ones there in the middle of the day. We were just stopping for a minute but ended up staying awhile and walking the whole thing. This looks like a great place to camp. If I lived in Cali I'd visit here all the time. The pictures do not do it justice, it feels like a place out of a movie.
