Beware!!!! NOTHING SECURE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! Hoffman Truck Services/Parking (aka: Shark Truck Repair & SECURE TRUCK PARKING, Shark Trucking, Inc & Hoffman Truck services) on Mesa Drive in Houston TX. I park at Hoffman’s SECURE lot, approximately 100 days out of the year, and pay $200/mo, on time, every month. Our truck/equipment is parked directly in cameras view. The week of 11/20/2023 our truck, along with others, were broken into. Approximately $2,500 worth of brand new equipment was stolen as well as complete demolition of our headache rack. I understand things happen, however, when a company advertises “SECURE parking with 24/7 security guards & cameras, you believe that should someone attempt to steal anything, they will 1) be deterred because of security & cameras, caught in the act, or if they were not seen in the act that the SECURITY CAMERAS would be utilized to apprehend the perpetrators! Instead, upon entering the gate security followed ME. He approached me and described exactly what happened, step by step, how our equipment was stolen. It made me very uncomfortable because it was so detailed that it sounded like HE was the perpetrator! Then he said, “oh, didn’t they take your snow chains too?” Why would he ask that? We spoke with Rick multiple times regarding the theft of our equipment and he kept stalling saying “we are reviewing the cameras”. First, it was 2 hours left to review, then numerous calls later “20 hours left and/or reviewing different angles”. I filed a Police Report, since Hoffman is unwilling to provide any information to help us or the authorities. The authorities were aware of all the break ins this year and last year and said Hoffman’s does not cooperate with them for investigations or for the safety of their own lot or customers. What is the point of a SECURE lot w/security, if they refuse to use it to help paying customers. There were 3 cameras pointing directly toward my flatbed. They want us to believe that someone came, ON FOOT, and stole 10- 70’ grade chains and 10 binders, hopped the fence and not a single camera or security guard saw ANYTHING in broad daylight !!!! That’s Hoffman’s final story. They stole our equipment in front of the cameras with security patrolling the yard 24/7 in broad daylight. Absolutely laughable!!! All the information provided seems dishonest. They are not interested in helping their paying customers!!! Upon canceling my monthly parking, they offered NO apology, no followup, NOTHING - just, “okay, we will process you out”. I encourage all small businesses, that keep getting their equipment broken into, in Hoffman’s SECURE Parking, to file a Police report and write reviews so other small businesses are aware . Power in numbers!! It’s the only way to stop them, from stealing the leasers equipment, on a fully secured lot!!!
