HIRES THIEVES - DO NOT USE. Unfortunately, I used this company for a $7k interstate move in November 2024. The movers stole $10k worth of designer items and electronic goods, which was confirmed when I used find my iPhone to track the stolen electronics. I insured my move with Schleppers’s and have followed all their instructions to file a claim, file a police report, etc. and they offered me $66 in compensation. That’s just insulting and much less than I tipped their movers who stole from me. Why offer insurance if it is totally useless? And don’t believe their website that says they conduct background checks on all employees. Horrible experience and horrible response by the company to a CRIME.

From start to finish, Shleppers was the best moving experience we’ve ever had and we’ve moved many times. Nicholas Rodriguez, our rep at Shleppers, priced our move and scheduled our moving date quickly and efficiently. Bob’s moving crew was exceptional! They went above and beyond in every way. They were careful with all of our furniture, and were happy to do whatever we asked. Next time we move, we will definitely use them again.

Let’s just say Shleppers are a shlep. You get what you pay for and someone else’s box too! All of my furniture that they insisted on packing had damage and not enough for it to be worth it to pay the deductible on the insurance. They have yet to contact me on what I should do with another customer’s box. I should’ve paid the extra $1k for a better company. A real shlep.

Someone recently asked me if I could recommend a moving company and the only thing I said was make sure you don’t ever use Shleppers. They broke so many things and they have no idea what they are doing. I hired them to do the packing and the unpacking, and when I saw how they were unpacking boxes where they put clothes mixed in with kitchen supplies, I couldn’t believe how unorganized how unprofessional and how lazy they are. They really are crooks. They already have bad reviews so I’m not sure how much more helpful my review is going to be. I mean, I could write an essay about all the details a broken items , scratched walls, and terrible staff using curse words in front of my kids. I just have to say that I am totally traumatized from ever moving again because they made this the worst experience for me. I was reminded of how bad this company was and I came to check the reviews and I’m not surprised to see that I’m not the only one

I used Shleppers multiple times in NYC and had them move me from NYC to Florida. Now that I moved from one home to another in Florida, I called them up again and this time had a HORRIFIC experience. I paid for them to pack up and move my property. They stole some of my property and broke a lot of my furniture and lamps. For example, I had a sentimental vase from my dead grandparents and without thinking I let them move it. One of the movers either broke it or stole it thinking it was valuable instead of sentimental, since I made a big deal of how much I treasured it. Broke several lamps, tv stand, console table, desk, dresser, couch and small things. There is a box of pictures that are missing, including pictures of my husband and his grandmothers and my favorite picture of us when we were dating. Pictures and albums are common to move and cannot be replaced. Called everyday and left multiple messages for 2 months to talk to someone about my horrible experience and no one has returned my calls. The movers cursed, fought and made a huge mess when moving and I had to remind them to be professional. There were 3 guys who were professional and 3 that weren't. I have no idea what to do now. You will either spend the money on movers with another company or replacing your broken and stolen things with this company. Also, forget about getting any money from them even if you have insurance. They simply will not pick up your calls.
