OMG. The best and the most trustworthy moving company we ever used. We moved 9 times in 14 years. Every time it was the same thing with other companies. They were overcharging every single time, we would also end up with broken furniture. Some would give one estimate, but when time comes to unload, they demand twice or more the estimate and refuse to unload until you pay. It was a nightmare. So we were very nervous about this move. My friend, whose daughter recently used Silk Way movers, recommended them to me. I’m so grateful to him for this. It was really stress free. They are so honest. They work very hard and very fast. They are not trying to do work slower like others to take more money. They traveled to my house 3 hours, arrived at 10 am. Packed everything by a little bit after 4pm. And we have 4 bed 3.5 bath house with two king beds. And oversized nice furniture in the living space. Plus front porch and patio. They were working non stop. I only saw them drinking water very quickly. They haven’t stopped for a second, neither one of them. They had to drive from my place to my new home around 90 miles. They said they’d stop to eat on their way there. And they were there at around 6:15 pm they unloaded everything quickly and efficiently. Nothing got broken. They had flat fee for long distance arrival. And everything else hourly. And after 3 hours they count in 15 minutes increments. So they would not charge the whole hour if they finished 9:15pm. Charged a fair price. Mike is a mastermind! He was organizing everything in the truck while his team was packing and bringing it. It takes lots of thinking to organize a large house in a truck in an efficient way. I’m just absolutely amazed and astonished by their work. If I will be moving in the same area again, it’s only them I’m calling again. So grateful to them for honest and stress free work for us. Thank you guys so very much. You are the best!!!

I have to say, from the beginning, the promptness in response and positivity of Michael at Silk Way was a welcome relief. They took away the stress of our upcoming move. On move day, they were on time and accurate with the estimated time. Very efficient with all the tools and tricks to make our move successful and seamless! The price was right and well worth it. I used Silk Way Movers for Storage and Long-Distance Move service, and everything went as quoted. Communication was good, the moving portion was quick and stress free. I strongly recommend Michael and Silk Way Movers.

TLDR: they will find ways to overcharge you when they already charge high standard rates. Use someone else, especially if your move is straight forward. Full review: I've used Silk Way before and think this will be my last time. They do an ok job but this time they spent about 100 minutes (timed it: 1.67 hours) just disassembling and reassembling a bed. I was told the two guys wouldn't be able to lift the bed frame unless it was totally disassembled, which seemed like a stretch since two guys previously delivered the full bed with headboard without issues. Seemed like a ploy to charge for more time. What should have been a two hour move by a competent moving company became four hours. They also charged me a 5% credit card fee and $42 for tape (no boxes, tape was the only thing they "supplied" and only to secure their own blankets.) TLDR: way too expensive and they will up charge you. Use a different company.

I recently moved again and used Silk Way Movers for the 3rd time. I would highly recommend Mike and his team. I even recommended that my father use Silk to move items into a storage unit. Regardless of the size of the move, Mike and his team arrive on time, move all items with care, are very courteous, and are willing to go above and beyond. This move into another apartment went completely smoothly. It was a good value and I was very happy with the completion of the job. Again, I would highly recommend Silk Way Movers to anyone looking for movers!!
