This is going to be long so bear with me. This is my honest review of working for Simon Transport for 2 years. (I want be very clear that these are MY opinions and experiences and mine alone) I was hired in Feb of 2022 and I truly did love coming to work. They hype up the “Family Culture” like every other company and this was the first one to actually prove it… in the beginning. I was let go with absolutely no explanation other than “you no longer fit our culture.” According to all of my managers, all of my monthly and yearly reviews, KPI’s and everything else were outstanding… or so I thought. The managers were awesome, owners were awesome, office staff were incredible. Everyone was extremely welcoming and willing to help at any given moment. Until my direct manager decided to go else where… that’s when things changed. This is when things took a turn for the worse. A fellow office employee was hired as Operations Manager and while he was an incredible person (still is) he was no fit for this position. It was at this time that the “family culture” was becoming more and more “corporate.” Said employee very smartly left this company and was replaced by someone even worse. The “family” culture very quickly turned corporate when they decided to hire an HR person. This company will argue that they still have a “small business” feel but once you’re inside, it’s completely corporate. My job title was “operations coordinator.” I was hired to help out, be backup for dispatch, and handle all driver paperwork. That quickly changed to everything stated above to many, many more roles. I made the mistake of showing I can handle stress well and can wear many hats. My ability to do so was VERY MUCH taken advantage of. My first experience with this “not so family feel” was when a driver of the company (who is still employed with ST) called me on my desk phone to tell me “I really would like to take you to the bathroom and eat you out..” I immediately went to my new direct manager and was told “we will handle it” .. 2 months later I found out all that was said was “don’t do it again.” While the Owner did offer (then 3 months later) to fire said driver on the spot, I did not want to take a man’s lively hood away. I let it go. My second experience with this was when an office employee (who is still employed with ST) lifted my dress up from behind while I was walking up the stairs. This time, I went beyond my direct supervisor and went straight to the director of HR who proceeded to tell me “it’s probably the way you present yourself.” Victim shaming at its finest. Nothing happened to said employee and I still worked very closely with this employee until my last day at Simon Transport. Now let’s change focus here. The drivers… drivers are treated like gold. (see 2 paragraphs up for reference) It’s as if they parted the Red Sea themselves. If you want to drive for them, I highly recommend it. Drivers are not held accountable for anything, they walk all over office staff, managers included. As far as working in the office, I do not recommend this. The owner has stood 10 feet from all employees and stated that we are all deplorable, knows we can be paid more elsewhere, and if we want to go, then go. Office staff is grossly underpaid with extraordinary knowledge while most managers are grossly overpaid and have limited knowledge. Managers at Simon Transport will throw you under the bus and without a second thought, put it in reverse and run you over. Blame is passed on every decision that is made. Communication is non existent, even though the owners PREACH about having open communication. All in all, if you want a job that pays decent to get you by, go for it. Do not plan on a career here and do not expect to be treated like “family” … Actually, family is the first to screw you over so I guess you are treated like family. Response: No, I actually waited because I know how spiteful management is and I did not want it taken out on my fiancé. And for the record, I still have no idea why I was actually fired.

I have been working for the company for over a year now, and just recently I have not been paid I have sent in all my BOLs and get told by payroll that they never got them, sent in all my BOLs before I went on vacation and I have still not gotten paid should have gotten paid on June 28 2024 and still have not received pay for those loads, now I don't work for free and nobody at the company does either, so should I seek legal counsel for this, WHAT DO YOU THINK

My husband Donny and I team and just become part of the Simon family. I have to say they have welcomed us and made us feel like we were here for years already. Brian is awesome and helped us through the entire process. He made it easy.... Now that we have started driving he didn't just stop communicating. Angie has a personality that will draw anyone in. Holly is the dispatcher and she has a great personality and really knows how to connect with the drivers. Here you dont feel like a number but a family. I look forward to our continued relationship for many many years. If you are looking for a great company to work for DON T WAIT... CALL BRIAN!!
