This company moved me out of my house and took my things to storage. I was appalled that two of the guys on the crew asked me for a tip during and after loading my things. When I went to the storage unit after the move I noticed that my new refrigerator was not wrapped and it had several scratches which I pointed out to Dwayne when I had him to meet me there because I wanted him to see this himself. Some things looked like they were just thrown in the unit. When it was time to move my things from storage to my new home I had a different crew. I sat and watched them with the first load as I did not like the way the first crew had moved my items. As they pulled things out they pointed out that the first crew did not do things correctly and If I had seen the back of the unit I would have been very upset because things were just thrown around. I had a filing cabinet that was not wrapped and the front was completely dented, an antique dining table that was just restored after the flood that the bottom was not wrapped and and it was pulled apart, another small antique table that was not wrapped and scratched, missing screws for the frame to a bedroom set, an antique poster bed that was not wrapped and one of the posters broken off. A mattress topper that was not boxed and wrapped with tape with footprints all over it. None of my headboards to my beds were wrapped. To top it all off I had a 5 gal water jug that had change in it that was missing. Not sure what else is damaged or missing since I have not completely unpacked. I was only offered $0.60 per lb for damaged items, but I was never told by anyone that this was what their insurance covered. No way does this cover the cost of the damaged items and the repairs that need to be made. There was improper supervision when my items were being packed and policies and procedures were not explained at the time of the estimate. I was just given a brochure that explained how things would be wrapped and moved. I have not used moving companies in the past and was not familiar with this process and what questions to ask. I will say that the owner came to try and fix some of the things but he never did bring an Antique dressing mirror that he was storing because he first crew left it behind when moving me out. No I did not pay them because of these issues and when I texted him about my mirror he never responded. Customer service has gone to pot and if you continue doing business this way your company will fail. IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS COMPANY YOU NEED TO WATCH EVERYTHING THAT IS DONE AND YOU NEED TO BE THE SUPERVISOR. The only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to select one.

We had a great experience with Skinny Wimp movers. All the guys, Jay, Xavier, Dillon and Josh were very polite and worked quickly. We were very impressed and they didn’t seem to mind it was upstairs. Thank you for getting all of our stuff moved.

The movers that were contracted were nice, but they arrived 40 minutes late. I had to remind them to put the Refrigerator back after connecting the water line. They smudged the door and chipped the walls as seen in the photos. I appreciate the movers and still tipped them, but my house was just finally built in full yesterday. Not the way to break in your new home lol

I debated leaving a review for a long time but i figured if i can help anyone avoid the headache ive had, i should share. I will say the movers were very friendly. A little late but i didnt care i had the whole day to move. But where they earned their 1 star is management. The movers were young and unsupervised, and ended up breaking a custom built $9,500 dresser, shattering a pool table slate, and putting nice dents in my washing machine. I get it, its part of moving. But when i got the quotes to fix my furniture (1,800 for the dresser repair, and $600 for new pool table slate) (i wasnt worried about repairing the washer as its just cosmetic) i was told by management that it was my fault i let them put my pool table in the truck, and handle the heavy dresser. My fault. And offered a $200 discount. So i paid $800 for moving, and over $2,000 in repairs, i get a nice shiny $200 discount. I will never use skinny wimp again, and it really makes me question the whole moving industry. Hopefully my mistake helps you avoid yours.

*****5-Star Service***** Exceptional professionalism and customer service! Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond. The young men who packed, handled, loaded, transported, and unloaded our belongings were all polite and took great care and treated everything as if it was their own. The arrived 5 minutes early, politely introduced themselves, surveyed our home and articles to move, asked if we had any concerns or special requests, and then immediately went to work. Our experience on the front end with scheduling our move was very easy. We also received confirmation calls from the owner who was polite, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend using Skinny Wimp Moving Company in Louisiana!
